To HOBY 2026! 🫶

This year has taught me so much! As my third year being a junior facilitator volunteer I am so honored to have the opportunity to challenge and support ambassadors to become a better leader in their personal lives and in their own communities. I really feel like I make a difference and a good impact through this and I cannot wait for another year of HOBY! I already miss it!

Ps. Group 4 was the best group! Goooo Ravens! 🐦‍⬛

Leadership camp taught me many things... remembering everyone’s name wasn’t one of them. @hobyohionorth

After a 9 day trip to Africa in 1958, Schweitzer asked Hugh O’Brian: “What are you going to do with this?”

-For me, this HOBY experience is a reminder that there are people out there that fight for the same things you do.
-@hobyohionorth had the incredible spirit, and energy that was missing in my life.
-I feel different. I left in a different way than I came.
-I enjoyed being around those who hold the same beliefs and views as I do. Being in Ohio isn’t always the easiest and you can’t always find the people who will accept you for who you are. HOBY was able to allow their ambassadors to share their opinions- and once I got out my first couple of opinions, I realized that HOBY really is a safe space.
-@hoby really is a special place- they do so much good in the world that it’s seriously incredible and inspiring.
-I can’t wait to see what we all accomplish and achieve in 5,10,15 years down the road!

I would also like to give my deepest appreciation and gratitude to @stela.nonno and @ruddyseal for all their hard work and dedication all year round towards our group that will help us all become powerful, passionate leaders one day.

Not mentioned: Gavin, Ellie, Claire, Mayya, and Jamia

Santa got Mr. Ripley all the things he could need for getting into stained glass and he just finished his first project. He sketched, cut, foiled and soldered it (I only helped with maybe 10% of this). Only 1 burn and 1 cut through the entire thing haha #proudkiddo #stainedglass

That’s right, that dead bat around Kendra’s neck signifies she won Best Vampire of the council. Highly recommend giving @sortasecretsupperclub a follow so you don’t miss out on the next event. Food was great, performances matched, and the atmosphere was top notch.
