Exploring Virginia Beach beyond the beach 🌊☀️💗

We spent our vacation exploring all that VB has to offer! We walked the boardwalk and came across the huge seashell statue 🐚, beautiful flowers, the iconic Neptune statue, and so many unique art installations along the way.

We also walked under the pier and out onto the pier, where we found the cutest little seashell shop 🐚✨. Of course, we had to go dolphin watching with @rudeetours 🐬💙 — such a fun experience!

We also squeezed in some shopping at @target explored downtown Virginia Beach, grabbed ice cream from @benandjerrys 🍦, and even checked out some of the mini golf courses around the area ⛳️.

On our last day, we visited the beautiful Japanese Garden 🌸🌿. It must be absolutely stunning in the spring when the cherry blossom trees are in bloom!

So many little adventures packed into one vacation. 💕🌊

These cookies were created for the crew who take visitors out on the water to experience some of Virginia Beach’s most incredible marine life—our dolphins, whales, sea turtles, and more.

Growing up in Virginia Beach, I’ve always been used to seeing bottlenose dolphins along the shoreline, swimming, playing, and living their best lives. Whales, however, are a different story. They typically visit during the colder months, and seeing them usually means heading out on a boat.

I’ve only gone out specifically to see whales a couple of times, but there’s nothing quite like being in the presence of one. They’re massive, majestic, and truly breathtaking. Sometimes they seem to appear out of nowhere, and watching one breach or surface in its natural habitat is an unforgettable experience. That’s one of the reasons I was so excited to bring this humpback whale cookie back for this order. It’s one of my favorite cookies I’ve ever made because I’ve experienced the wonder of seeing these creatures in person, and there’s nothing quite like it.

These cookies were made for the crew at Rudee Tours, who help people experience these amazing animals in their natural habitat. Whether you’re visiting Virginia Beach or have lived here your whole life, I highly recommend taking a dolphin- or whale-watching tour. It is an experience you will never forget.
