MENTAL HEALTH -

Finding ways to improve and maintain my mental health over the years has been a journey.

The relationship with my mind and body hasn’t always looked like this. At one point in time I felt foreign in my body that I subconsciously abandoned because of depression and anxiety. With a healthier mental state, I’m blessed and grateful that I have the capacity and appetite for life again to even cocreate a space I wish I had access to during my darkest seasons.

In finding my way back home to self, dance has been a tool helping me reconnect to my mind, body, heart, spirit and the divinity within me.

To me, ecstatic dance is about joy, release, resilience, freedom, expression, sovereignty, and permission.

If you’re dealing with depression, anxiety, or any mental health challenges, there is community support available. SĀCRD is one of spaces 💚

Join us next week on the 24th at Station 3510, if you feel called!
