Never in a million years could i have predicted how the last year would run its course.

It was, by far, the most painful (yet strangely beautiful) year I’ve had. One of my dear friends told me “we usually don’t get what we want, we usually get what we need.” and that resonates a little too hard (iykyk).

Amidst the chaos, I was left with the most beautiful gifts I could have asked for: Some big life lessons, a mental slideshow of endless soft & squishy moments, and most importantly a community of people who wrapped me up in their arms to hold me.

This year was all about community. It never felt like “I”, it always felt like “we”.

We danced, a lot.
We journaled by the ocean.
We celebrated birthdays, engagements, weddings, graduations, and home ownership.
We spent a lot of time in the forest.
We ate so many good meals.
We laughed until our cheeks hurt.

So grateful for all of you who played a part in making this year GUD.

I’m now going to back away from 2024 very slowwwwly and carefully. *tip toes away* 🫥

September, you lil bugger.

💃Starting out with the nips out on a mountain top in the name of feminine rage.

🐾My lil sleepy boy at the end of a big day of sniffing moss, finding the best sticks, and jumping in mud puddles.

🏠 The last sit inside of a very annoying investment condo that I sold with the help of an old friend. 💖

👾 Bass Face with two lovely humans at a rained out concert on a whim.

💪 The most wholesome bachelorette, celebrating one of my dearest friends with a badass group of women.

🍵 A heavenly moment enjoying some carrot cake and a matcha latte. Putting work into finding (and creating) glimmers during a really challenging day.

💆‍♂️ A glimpse of how I spend pretty much every quiet afternoon I can get my hands on - a little massage for Blue. Not included: endless pawsitive affirmations.

It was a rollercoaster. It was hard. And it was beautiful in a really sadomasochistic way.

I grew so much closer to some and further from others, reminding myself how to protect my energy.

I processed a.fucking.lot.

I binge read 6 books, picked up some new hobbies, and saw one of my all-time best sunsets.

I checked off boxes of things I’d been wanting to do for myself for a long-ass time.

Tonight i’m wrapping myself up in the softest cashmere sweater, reviewing my fall goals, and getting locked in to my FOCUS season. 🤓

LFG October 🔥
