For the excellent mix series of Permanent Vacation curated by @benjamin.frohlich , I thought it would be nice to start with a Marcus Mixx track to remind how he was one of the unsung pioneers of Chicago house music. Thanks @permanentvacationrecords for the invitation. Have a good listen 🎧

Pure joy on my face leaving @sisyphosberlin on Sunday!! Holy fk this place is so magical 💫 every time without exception I have walked out of there after my set smiling so hard my face actually hurts 🥺♥️ The Wintergarten never fails to blow me away, there’s some kind of greater force at work in there I swear!! 🔮 I was beaming my face off the whole time I played, and seeing people beaming back at me, leaping around with me, high fiving over the decks, laughing when I was wincing as one of my records started popping and I was praying it wouldn’t skip (it didn’t..this time 😆) - it literally feels like one big happy family 💕and I keep telling myself that next time it won’t (or couldn’t!) be as good 🚀 and yet time and time again I’m left in awe of how amazing the crowd and the love and energy are in that room 😭❤️ I wept in my set not once but twice this time. And I know I sound like the soppiest b*tch but tbf I am when I comes to music and the chance to play in a place like this 🫶🙇‍♀️

I managed to grab a couple of small audio clips whilst I was welling up ▶️ both playing a new collab track for the first time there and then playing my final song, my latest house release Til You See, after over 4 hours on the decks 💗 hearing this reaction to songs I’ve written is really a dream come true (I often get nervous to play them until the end of my set - imposter syndrome still sneaks in!)

On top of this I’ve been sent the kindest sweetest messages this week - truly grateful 🌸▶️

@ruffstuff_music take an enormous bow. That party was absolutely off the hook 🙇‍♂️ I don’t think I’ve ever heard so many quality sets back to back to back!! 👏 it was very hard to leave (many many hours after I finished playing 🥹)

I will never stop being hugely appreciative for these moments. One of the best ever!! ❤️‍🔥 Xxx

Ruff Stuff - First Floor [Quality Vibe Records - QVW 001] Italy, 2016

Who said Italian only make dreamy sound !!

Bangin' raw House track by Berlin-based Italian dj and producer @ruffstuff_music aka Gianfranco Barnaba. A punchy, nasty kick blended with ecstatic samples, like this mighty vocal "I've got something for your mind, your body and your soul", and deep piano notes !

First numbered release on @qualityviberecords white series, a top-class label from the Italian riviera 🇮🇹
