Finishing off our week of @rutgersu history going into homecoming!

The Song "Nobody Ever Died for Dear Old Rutgers" comes from a 1947 Broadway show, High Button Shoes, which ran for over 700 performances.

It references a story that Frank "Pop" Grant of the 1892 @rfootball team yelled out to support his team as he was carried off the field after breaking his leg, "I'd die to win this game!" The quote was misattributed for nearly 40 years....only being set right on the day before homecoming.

We won't admit it's true but....

The word is out! The Rutgers University Glee Club has been selected to perform at the 2027 National ACDA Conference in Minneapolis! 🎉

Humbled, honored, and excited don’t even begin to describe how I feel. This invitation is a testament to the extraordinary talent, dedication, and artistry of our students, pianist, and graduate assistants.

I stand on the shoulders of the many Glee Club conductors who came before me who, in their own way, helped to build a culture of excellence, tradition, and artistry. I’m deeply grateful to carry that legacy forward and keep the fire burning. 🔥

This will be the Rutgers Glee Club’s fourth performance at a National ACDA Conference, a remarkable milestone for this extraordinary ensemble.

Minneapolis, here we come! ❤️🎶
