🚴 45 km ⏱️ 2 h 02 ⚡ 22,1 km/h de moyenne

Back in 2015, we experienced the Ruhr Games in Germany 🇩🇪

a standout multi-sport festival bringing together movement, youth culture, and community in the heart of the Ruhr region.

Rather than focusing purely on results and rankings, the event transformed former industrial spaces like Landschaftspark Duisburg into vibrant playgrounds for sport, creativity, and shared experiences 🏭➡️🏟️.

Elite performances, hands-on participation, music, and culture all came together in an open, inclusive, high-energy atmosphere ⚡🎶

We jumped right in and tried a wide range of sports, cup stacking 🥇, canoe polo 🚣‍♂️, wheelchair table tennis 🏓♿, and many more.
Moving from one discipline to the next, meeting athletes, and seeing how accessible and diverse sport can be made this an unforgettable experience 🙌

A powerful reminder of how sport can reshape places, connect people, and spark curiosity to get active 🧡

🤸‍♂️😂 Funny Facts About Parkour! 🇩🇪✨

1️⃣ 🧱 It All Started with Escaping Obstacles – Parkour was inspired by military training, basically, turning “run away” into “run better.”

2️⃣ 🏃‍♂️ The Floor Is Actually Lava, For Parkour athletes, every railing, wall, and bench becomes part of the game, because walking around it is just too boring. 😄

3️⃣ 🎬 You’ve Definitely Seen It in Movies-Remember those wild chase scenes in action films? Yep, that’s Parkour stealing the spotlight! 🎥

4️⃣ 🐒 Nicknamed “The Art of Movement” – But let’s be honest. in the beginning, it’s more like “The Art of Falling Gracefully.” 😂

5️⃣ 💪 Parkour Muscles You Didn’t Know You Had, After your first session, you’ll find muscles you didn’t even know existed (and they’ll all be sore). 🥴

💬 “Parkour: where falling is part of learning, and laughing is part of training.” 🧡

👉 Would you try Parkour, or just film your friends doing it first?

🤸🏙️ The Benefits of Parkour – Strength in Motion 🇩🇪✨

Parkour isn’t just about jumping between walls, it’s about learning how to move, adapt, and trust yourself in any situation. 💪

Every vault, climb, and landing builds balance, coordination, and core strength, but the biggest growth happens in the mind. Parkour teaches focus, resilience, and problem-solving, helping you see obstacles not as limits, but as challenges waiting to be overcome. ⚡

For kids, it’s freedom and confidence. For adults, it’s rediscovering play. For everyone, it’s proof that strength doesn’t come from standing still.

💬 “Parkour teaches you to stop avoiding obstacles, and start learning from them.” 🧡

👉 Would you dare to see the world as your playground?

🤸🏙️ Sport #34 of 50 – Parkour in Oberhausen, Germany 🇩🇪✨

The Browns took movement to new heights at the @ruhrgames 2015, learning the art of Parkour with their incredible mentor Marcel Parcharidis. 💪

From vaults and wall runs to jumps and rolls, @mazzelpk showed how Parkour is more than just physical skill , it’s creativity, confidence, and freedom in motion. Every obstacle became an opportunity, every wall a new way forward. 🏙️⚡

For Ben, it was pure adventure. For Jacqui and Paul, a reminder that courage isn’t about avoiding fear, it’s about jumping through it.

💬 “Parkour teaches you that the limits you see are only the ones you haven’t tried to climb yet.” 🧡

👉 Would you take the leap?
