The @forbesjapan October issue! Reading a copy with my morning coffee and inspired again by all the excellent entrepreneurs and businesses in Japan. The issue features the full list of 𝑫𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒀𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝑨𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅 winners and accompanying in-depth articles on their properties. It was an honour to be a member of the inaugural Advisory Board for the award to provide both a domestic and global perspective along with a group of fellow esteemed professionals and the talented Forbes Japan editors @naooo112 @ruico.i + team. Honoured to be an Advisory Board Member for the inaugural @forbesjapan 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 award focussing on Japanese properties and businesses making a significant impact in regenerative tourism, social and environmental sustainability + in a deeper sense; cultural identity. Bravo EIC Masaharu Fujiyoshi & the Forbes Japan team. 30 properties were awarded after extensive discussion amongst Forbes Japan + Advisory Board members, everyone bringing unique perspectives and years of experience & expertise within the travel industry. The past decade has seen many changes in Japan; new entrepreneurship, increased global social connections and advancements in technology allowing for improved translations + ease in travel logistics. This new award highlights exceptional businesses making a positive impact; influencing how Japan is understood and experienced both by domestic & international travellers and how it will be shaped for the future.
