NAVIGATION IV glitch Curator / Interlocutor ALEX H NICHOLS @alexhnichols Each year artists build on site for three days. There are strange synchronicities that occur between the pieces. Like air, inflating an object, or in conversation with a tree. Each artist has a method, an inquiry, and new questions, new ways of seeing, it builds a texture, an atmosphere, a way of moving through the world On Saturday October 3, 2026 Nineteen international and local artists gathered to create site-specific installations, sound sculptures, and performances. PART 4 —continuing the texture of the day 1. Miguel Novelo @xmiguelnovelo 2. Nung-Hsin Hu @nunghsin.hu 3. Alex H Nichols @alexhnichols 4. I had a privilege to be selected as the 2026 Nutting Fallingwater Institute Artist-in-Residence. After spending time there in the summer, I will be returning next week, presenting two performances research outcome as electroViolet’s 10 years milestone, body electric X, with irreplaceable @ruidobello and Maile Speetjens’s costume design. If you have friends who are architecture nerds and curious about intersection of movement, sound, nature, and built environment, I would love to meet them at the show.

Join us tomorrow evening for community, art, and conversation at 67 Turk Street. Jorge Bachmann (@ruidobello) will open the night with a 25-minute set of modular synth layered with field recordings, creating a slow-building soundscape to set the tone for the evening. Performance begins at 6pm Jorge Bachmann is a San Francisco-based multidisciplinary artist and curator. He has been an active presence in the city’s experimental music and dance communities since the early 2000s. Working across sculpture, photography, and sound, Bachmann’s practice is both eclectic and deeply rooted in attentive listening. His work ranges from subtle musique concrète soundscape installations inspired by the ideas of Dark Ecology to minimalist performances with analog modular synthesizers. Since the early 1980s, he has explored the strange, unique, and often microscopic sounds of everyday life. Through field recordings and immersive installations, he blurs the boundaries between natural soundscapes and human-made environments, inviting audiences to reconsider their relationship to the sonic world. Bachmann has exhibited and performed throughout North and South America, Europe, Japan, and Taiwan. See you there! #tntartlab #artforaction #sfart #soundart #performancea
