Birthday morning in Barcelona, so obviously the first order of business was coffee. ☕️🇪🇸

I found myself at @rumas_coffee and ordered a rather lovely flat white… but what really caught my attention was the cup it came in.

An edible coffee cup nonetheless 👀

No plastic, no disposable cup and when you have finished your coffee you’ve potentially got a little biscuit to finish off too. I wasn’t entirely sure what was going to happen to it as the coffee disappeared, would it turn into a soggy little catastrophe? It didn’t!
It held up remarkably well, right to the bottom. I did eventually take a nibble as the coffee went down, partly because I was curious and partly because… well, it was there. 😂

And I suppose if you really didn’t fancy eating it, you could always leave it out for the birds. Although I have absolutely no idea whether Barcelona pigeons have developed a taste for flat white flavoured biscuits. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Rumas was a great little coffee shop too. Quiet when I arrived, then gradually filling up as Barcelona woke up and people started their day. The barista was incredibly knowledgeable, and we had a great chat and a few laughs along the way.

A very good coffee, an interesting little idea, and a rather nice way to start the day.

2. @moychay.barcelona —

Bloom & Balance

Gracias @apoint.agency @aroab__ @sulaika 🤍✨
