✨Happy 1 year Prius-Versary!! 🚗💨

A year ago today closed a long chapter of ALL THE CAR problems with my dying 2008 Hyundai accent (who was a trooper the 17 years we were together!). A year of missed adventures, because driving more than 20-30 minutes and something would break down 😩🫠

I never ever imagined buying another vehicle from 2008 to replace my Hyundai, but a friend was selling their ‘08 Prius, and it was just a baby with only 104k miles! (My accent was nearing 250k 🤯🤯🤯). Apparently these cars last FOREVER, even well past 400k miles.. 😳

I took out the back seats, cut up a vintage dresser I had, and installed it where the seats were, and that was literally the biggest “build” portion of converting her into a tiny home..

She’s soooo cozy and is just perfect for Rumi and I!! And speaking of Roo, I was SO relieved seeing him immediately settle in to the new car! He was ✨TERRIFIED✨ riding in the van, which was one of the main reasons I let our camper van go..

I’m so grateful every day for this Prius (who I still need to name!), and for all of the adventures we’ve already had together!! Soooo excited for all of the adventures ahead!!

Being sleepy heads in the forest! 😴🌲💯
Rumi is my fist adventure cat, and I still can’t believe how amazing it is to wander a forest with my soul cat 💗💗💗💗🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹

I didn’t think he’d ever be able to go outside because he was born deaf, but so glad we found a way to do this, because it lights him up being in the forest!!

We’ve had 12 magical years so far together, and I’m cherishing every single moment! 💗💗💗🥹

🌲wandered off to Washington for the day to recharge in nature with my soul cat Rumi! @rumi.roams

❄️ The snow from last week had mostly melted, so we were able to get to our secret sanctuary by the creek! I forgot our jackets 😅😬 so we got all cozy and took a snuggle nap for 2 hours! It was so magical!

Back to work tomorrow! It still blows my mind I get to take my adventure cat with me everywhere! We are two adventure peas in a pod 🥹

🏕️🚗❤️ last year I bought a used 2008 Prius, and did a mostly “no build” conversion on it, turning it into an adventure mobile for Rumi @rumi.roams and I!

We just returned home from our second overnight in it, and before I packed up, I took a quick video tour!

I removed the back seats, and cut down a vintage dresser I had to use as a bed platform. I was able to keep the top dresser drawer, which goes me a lot of storage space (and vintage charm with the glass drawer pulls 😻).

The cute pink shelf holds random Knick knacks, books, oracle cards and my journal. When I have the hatchback tent set up, Rumi likes using it as a perch. I’m considering removing it so I have more sleeping room.. but it’s so cute! That’s like 94% of why I have it there 😅🫠

Under my bed there’s a TON of storage space.. I keep my camping tent, hatchback tent, and a bunch of other random “garage” type items there.

The front passenger side is Rumi’s zone - the tote under his kennel stores all of his supplies, and his litter box resides on the floor.

Behind the passenger seat has really been “built”, so it’s a storage space for bins that hold my kitchen gear and power station. I want to build a little shelf or something there 🤔

SO excited for all of the adventures ahead!!!
