Non è solo una medaglia da postare, ma tutto quello che c’è dietro.

Questa è la mia seconda esperienza sulla distanza della Half Marathon e devo dire che la fatica l’ho sentita tutta: dopo il 16° km l’ultimo tratto è sembrato una montagna russa di salite, e la stanchezza psicofisica si faceva sentire, eccome.

La motivazione cominciava a cedere, ma vedere così tanti runners arrivati da tutto il mondo per correre nella città più antica e bella del mondo mi ha dato una spinta incredibile verso il traguardo.

Grazie a tutti gli amici che hanno condiviso questa esperienza con me e che sono stati fondamentali per affrontare questa sfida insieme.

Grazie Roma per avermi regalato un nuovo PB e avermi fatto scoprire questo mondo fantastico attorno alla corsa. 🏃🏼‍♂️🏛️

I started running at the end of July. A few weeks later I signed up for the Wizz Air Rome Half Marathon on a whim, just to see what I could do. I never expected to finish under two hours.

Running past the Vatican and the Roman Forum and finishing at the Colosseum is something I’ll carry for a long time. I filmed part of it running backwards, which was not the smartest thing to do at race pace.

Thank you to my mom, Giuseppe and Hilton for showing up with posters and screaming for me. Thank you to everyone who sent messages, trained with me, and put up with me talking about running for the last three months.

The community is the biggest part of this for me. Being close to people who show up every week changed my life. Running has been a healthy outlet, and I’m just getting started.

I’m not taking this too seriously, but I think there’s real potential here, and I want to find out. Maybe through a team, maybe through competitive racing. I’m also looking to get signed and work with brands and people in running, especially within the community. If that’s you, my DMs are open.

I’ll be making more content around this. If you’re sick of it, sorry. It’s only going to get worse.

Placemaking Fieldwork : Rome

コロッセオに限らず、ローマでは半円アーチをよく目にする。
それもそのはずで、建築やデザインの世界ではこの形そのものが「Roman Arch」と呼ばれているらしい。

この街には「リズム」がある。
建物にも、人の動きにも、その余白にも、退屈な要素が少ない。

親友のピエロが運営するローマ最大のランニングコミュニティに初参加。
路地を駆け抜けるたび、レストランから拍手や声援が響く。
サンピエトリーニ（ローマ特有の石畳）を横切るピエロに、車が急ブレーキを踏んだ。
やたら高い嫌な音が、「人のための道路」がいかに奪われていたかを教えてくれた。

Uber forklift available in Rome? 🥵 wait til the end 🤣

Not gonna lie this was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve had. So glad I woke up at 7am and went jogging in 95 degree weather in Rome 🤣🤣 honestly!

Definitely save this post for your next adventure in Rome. I started at @anantarapalazzonaiadi and run to Trevi fountain - took me about 12 minutes. From there I run to the colloseum, took another 15min. Then did a whole lap around the colloseum. Total trip about 5miles. Pace 4.5mph, very pleasantly. 95 degree weather with a slight breeze at 730am. #
