POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The pumpkins are on the doorsteps. The corn has been harvested. There's woodsmoke in the air.

That must mean the high school cross-country race season must be winding down.

Yesterday at Thompson Park in Monroe, New Jersey, the Colonial Valley Conference Championship was held under brilliant blue skies, deep green grass and a backdrop of yellow and red.

Allentown High School Cross Country (@atownxctf), both the boys and girls ran strong races with a number of PR's.

And what better way to end it than with some ice cream from @goldysicecream!

Season ain't done though. Still work to be done. Miles to go and all that.

October 15, 2026 - Some scenes from the CVC Divisional Championships at Robbinsville High School.

A beautiful day but a muddy course. Many schools, lots of runners, a tight opening pack before the pace, and miles broke it up.

@atownxctf moved up a division this year and competed hard. The boys team finished 4th overall, while the girls team finished 5th overall.

Next up, the CVV Championships on October 22. AHSXC will be in the hunt, for sure!

The boys showed up for Shore Coaches this year. Zach goes 16:40 at holmdel to put him top 10 in course school history. Zane also runs a respectable time of 17:09 putting him on a good spot to make MOCs. Our 2 freshman also showed out running very fast times with Owen going 17:57 and Johnny going 18:11. Really impressive for their first ever high school 5k. The future is looking bright for the boys as they move forward into the season. Manhattan 🔜 #wearebr

Racing in the #ShoreFireCoachesInvitational at Holmdel Park isn't fun.

They don't call it "Holmdel Hell" for nothing.

They say add a full minute to your best PR time.

Lotsa grass, a slow course.

And the hills.

And the bowl.

200+ men lined up in the mark, hearts hammering before even a stride is taken.

Wishing they had one more sip of water, one more honey stinger.

Stretching arms out, slapping the thighs. Thinking about race strategy.

Or just surviving.

Battling shin splints doesn't help either. At least it wasn't hot like yesterday.

Super proud of the fight and grit my guy showed today. A new PR for this course, slower than his usual PR, but not by a full minute.

All the @atownxctf runners showed up and showed out very well.

Time to rest up now....Divisional this week, then CVC's are coming.
