🌺 KONA 2026 | IRONMAN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

I WAS READY. MY BODY WASN’T.

Months of training. Thousands of kilometres. Countless sacrifices. I arrived in Kona in the best shape of my life.

But Kona had other plans.

🌊 The Pacific Ocean hit hard. Heavy waves and severe seasickness turned the swim into a battle. From that moment, something was wrong.

🚴 On the bike, the power was gone. My stomach refused nutrition, while the heat and wind took their toll.

🏃 By the marathon, the goal had changed. It was no longer about the clock. It was about finding a way forward.

One kilometre. One step. One decision at a time.

GIVE UP. OR KEEP GOING.

I kept going.

That night, a high fever hit, followed by a viral illness. Whether it had already affected me during the race, I’ll never know for sure.

🏁 12:12:02. Not the race I had planned, but one of the most meaningful finishes of my life.

Because sometimes victory isn’t measured by the clock. It’s measured by the moments when giving up would have been easier.

❤️ THE PEOPLE BEHIND MY FINISH LINE

Vanessa (@vanessameutzner )— You worried, fought alongside me and never doubted my strength. ❤️

Klara (@klarasophiek) , Benno (@benno.knst )& Greta (@running.greta — My greatest pride and inspiration. Never stop chasing your dreams. ❤️

Dad — Thank you for always being there.

Miguel @mininotri — My coach, mentor and friend. Thank you for pushing me and believing in me. You spend endless hours with me just to live this Kona dream which you have experienced many times before.

Johanna @johanna_janik_coach — You sparked this entire journey and introduced me to this crazy, beautiful sport.

And to the selected few who helped me reach that start line — thank you. @coach.joserra @alexspalomero @atleticmarathon @christian.keller72 You helped me become a better athlete.

🌺 KONA MADE ME STRONGER.

Sometimes the body cannot deliver what the mind has planned. But the mind can still decide what happens next.

DREAM BIG. KEEP FIGHTING. NEVER GIVE UP.

ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

Mahalo, Kona. 🤙🌺

Hawái lo he podido competir 4 veces.
