Half used to be my distance. Long enough to feel like you’d earned the medal, short enough to be fast. 🏅

Since returning to running, my half marathons have never quite hit the mark. Always chasing a time, always 5–10 minutes off where I wanted to be. Until today.

After Knutsford 10K, where I stopped chasing the clock and just ran, I tried the same approach again. No pressure, no clock watching. Just running. The result? My 3rd fastest half marathon ever and my fastest of the year. Felt relaxed, comfortable and in control.

When I returned to running, I’d accepted that the times I once ran might be a thing of the past. I was on a different journey. But that 47-minute 10K at Alderley Bypass sparked something again. Maybe those glory days weren't gone after all.

Perhaps that’s why every half since has felt like a failure. I was chasing the old me, always falling short.

Until now. 👊

Never lose sight of the bigger picture. Keep your goals in focus, keep digging and keep showing up. Consistency is key. Trust the process. The results will come. 🏃‍♂️

ONE WHOLE YEAR OF RUNNING BEAR DIDSBURY! 🐻🎉💙

We had SO much fun celebrating today! 🥹

Cake, the @asicsrunning gang, good miles and even better smiles with @spc.lfc

What more could you want?!

A massive thank you to everyone who came along today and to everyone who’s supported us over the past year. You’ve made year one a pretty special one.

Here’s to year two! Proud to be a bear!🐻

A year ago, redundancy forced me to start again. Turns out, it was exactly what I needed. 💙

I’d gone from managing a team of six to struggling to get out of bed some days. I felt completely lost.

I promised myself my next chapter would be about two things: helping people and running.

Then, while shopping for trainers in Alderley Edge, a mate told me @runningbearshop was opening in Didsbury. “It’s perfect for you, Teggy.” 😂

A Zoom interview with @renshawkatie (in her car!), and a week later I was painting walls and cleaning tiles. A massive pay cut and a much-needed ego check, but something just clicked.

One year on, I’ve represented brands, met @rad_running @blue_benadum , raced relays, somehow become part of the fastest female team at relay & rave and co-hosted women’s-only events with @runmcr I’ve built my freelance career alongside the shop and, most importantly, helped people find their confidence through running.

But the people have made this year what it is.
💙 @renshawkatie we’ve come a long way from prepping for launch eating maccies on the floor
📣 @matt_flint01 on the megaphone at the finish line, leading the cheer squad at Wilmslow Half.
☕ @j77nyy for the marathon tips and top tier brew.
😂 @spc.lfc for the countless pep talks (and wind-ups!).
👟 @catriona_francesmarshall the incredible female founder behind it all, lending me her Adios Pro 4s so I could smash a mile PB.
👑 getting involved with events with content qeeen @alicejessicafit
💙 @jordannavyse for being such a supportive leader and giving me the flexibility to build a role around my life.

🫶

Turns out, the right move isn’t always the biggest job title or pay cheque. Sometimes it’s the one that brings you back to yourself & brings you joy.

Happy 1st birthday, Running Bear Didsbury! 🐻💙 Thank you to everyone who’s made this year so special.

Come celebrate and run with us tomorrow. We’d love to see you! 🏃‍♀️

New Balance X Running Bear ⚡️

Fabbb evening trying out both the SC Rebel and SC Elite v6 with New Balance at Running Bear. Think I preferred the Rebels as they felt really lightweight but still very cushioned. The Elites would definitely make your race day super speedy though 😮‍💨

Finished off with some amazing Mexican food at La Capilla 😍

The Manchester Half photos have landed… and apparently I smiled my way through the whole thing! 😁🏃🏼‍♀️

Every photo captures exactly how I felt: pure joy. Loving the atmosphere, soaking it all up and feeling very grateful to be there. 🤍

With my tendon injury, chasing a PB wasn’t on the cards. But there was still so much to enjoy about putting on my trainers, joining thousands of other runners and being part of an amazing day.

My body is working hard to heal, and at the same time it’s still allowing me to do something I love. That deserves a little appreciation. 🫶🏼

It’s so easy to get caught up in mile splits, finish times and chasing the next PB that we forget what made us fall in love with racing in the first place. The crowds, the connection, the buzz… the pure joy of doing it.

There’s a time for chasing goals. This race was about enjoying every mile and being thankful that I could. And these smiles say it all. ✨
