When comparing treatments, timing matters. This 2024 meta-analysis found that extracorporeal shockwave therapy outperformed corticosteroid injection at 3 and 6 months for several pain and function outcomes in plantar fasciitis.

Orthopedic Functional Medicine looks beyond what feels best today. The goal is to choose interventions that support tissue function and durable recovery—not simply chase the fastest short-term reduction in pain.

Great time at the American Society for Medical Shockwave Treatment meeting connecting with colleagues from around the world.

One of the best parts of gatherings like this is sharing real clinical protocols, treatment successes, and even the challenges we all face in practice. These conversations push the science forward and ultimately help our patients heal better and faster.

Proud to be part of a global community advancing shockwave therapy.
