what’s gonna happen and where do we go from here?

it feels unreal saying my time as an r2p company member has officially come to a close. 14 years in the community, 32 shows as an audience member, 10 shows as a cast member, and 1 show working behind the scenes. i have no words other than thank you! i’m forever humbled to have been apart of this company and to have had the opportunity to share its gifts.

cast of amelie - you were amazing! i love you all and i can’t wait to see what you all do next! ❤️❤️

thank you to @avaxthomas_photography for taking such wonderful photos 🫶🏻

Floyd “Todd” Peterson III spent 38 years working in the Ithaca School District and had a profound and positive impact on every child he encountered. In our community, he led the Ithaca Youth Bureau’s Stewart Park Day Camp, directed and choreographed musicals, and was the founding choreographer of “Running To Places,” a community theater organization. He loved performing and was deeply appreciated by all those who knew him. I also honored his memory with a resolution (J2041) on the floor.

Thanks to everyone who came out to see Xavi as Augustus Gloop in @runningtoplaces' "Charlie and The Chocolate Factory". He put in a lot of hard work and it paid off! We're so proud of our little pickle.

Better late than never!!!

I miss matilda sooo much! It’s not just doing the show it’s the people, I love you all so so so much. Getting to see all of you everyday made me soo happy. If I was having a bad day you guys would always be there to cheer me up, to make me laugh and always have my back no matter what. I truly couldn’t thank you enough for being such great friends and reminding me that this is what I love to do.

As a dance teacher, I feel incredibly proud getting to watch my students excel in so many different fields! Theatre, sports, and other extracurricular activities. I always try to show up if I can.

Norah works extremely hard, and it was amazing to see that dedication shine on stage in Matilda. Her commitment, focus, and effort were evident in every moment of her performance.

Huge shout-out to Running to Places, a youth theatre program that trains young performers in acting, singing, and stage performance. The show was fantastic, the cast was incredible, and I highly recommend checking them out! 🖤🪩🤍

For nearly two decades, Running to Places Theater Company has provided free, inclusive theatre opportunities for middle and high school students across Tompkins County. Their commitment to accessibility, youth empowerment, and high-quality arts education has made a lasting impact on families and the broader community. I presented Running to Places with a New York State Empire Award to commend them for their continued amazing work in our district. Congratulations to the students, staff, volunteers, and leadership whose dedication continues to create a supportive, creative, and welcoming space for young people.
