POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The sad reality of a ‘fitness journey’ is that the biggest support often comes from strangers. Friends and even family will just scroll past, probably because when you start doing better for yourself people get the hump. It’s a weird world we live in. Tag someone who’s doing amazing and let them know how fabulous they are. I’m going to make a start … @tillysmith379 @tsc_dadonamission @mb_p4m @carl_moore30 @harry.grosjean @ashleighcoaching @bex_hansen_runs @cifitpersonaltraining ❤️ keep it up you wonderful bunch 💪🏻

Macclesfield Running Festival 2026

Things learned :
Macclesfield is very pretty to run around, the people are amazing on support

This event was one of the best organised I have been to!! And so welcoming as I knew no one there

A hill is a good way to ruin a nice run

I definitely run better when I have my mum @joradcliffe17 🥰

See you in 2 weeks for Tatton half! @runthroughuk @runthroughnorth

September was a tough month still nursing the ankle through and a few times I just couldn’t get going low energy, low mood and just getting inside my own head meant for the first time I pulled out of two events from nothing but overthinking things 🧠 🤷🏼
Holiday beginning of October for a reset and come back ready to hit the ground running.
Still a few highlights to look back on and new PBs achieved, @great_run as amazing the busiest race over ever ran and some spectacle 😍. Another podium in the Duathlon for my AG and a 5km PB pushing closer to the goal of sub 20 mins 🚀 finally topped the month off meeting @marcdean_ on @representclomcr 5km run round town a humble guy and inspiration going into my next Hyrox event in Birmingham 💪

Macclesfield Running Festival 10km!

This year the hill did not defeat me! In WB’s words ‘I ran that some bitch’ and left it for dust lol! I managed the whole hill, and course with no walk breaks and came in quicker than last year. So I’ll take all those wins gladly!

But today was the return of my number one running buddy, my WB. He got out and completed the 5km having not run in months and got round faster than he was aiming for! Another with for team Bayley! Glad to have you back out there with me WB, I’ve missed you!

So that’s the end of marathon training week 1 and just like that I’m heading into week 2! 👏

🥇 Medal Monday 🏅

Still in the buzz from yesterdays Jarrow 10k.

First time I’ve ever done it and I have to say it was hands down one of my favourite races of all time . Reminded me why I fell in love with running

And shaving 7 mins off my first ever 10k shows that training and hard work will pay off

Half used to be my distance. Long enough to feel like you’d earned the medal, short enough to be fast. 🏅

Since returning to running, my half marathons have never quite hit the mark. Always chasing a time, always 5–10 minutes off where I wanted to be. Until today.

After Knutsford 10K, where I stopped chasing the clock and just ran, I tried the same approach again. No pressure, no clock watching. Just running. The result? My 3rd fastest half marathon ever and my fastest of the year. Felt relaxed, comfortable and in control.

When I returned to running, I’d accepted that the times I once ran might be a thing of the past. I was on a different journey. But that 47-minute 10K at Alderley Bypass sparked something again. Maybe those glory days weren't gone after all.

Perhaps that’s why every half since has felt like a failure. I was chasing the old me, always falling short.

Until now. 👊

Never lose sight of the bigger picture. Keep your goals in focus, keep digging and keep showing up. Consistency is key. Trust the process. The results will come. 🏃‍♂️

Burton 10K 🏃‍♂️

5am alarm and a 230 mile round trip for a 10K. Some people say I’m mad but what’s madder is the fact that’s the time I’d be getting in from a night out once of a day.

I’m honestly the happiest and healthiest I’ve ever felt. Another superb event ran by @runthroughuk 💙 Marshall’s and stewards were amazing. A lot of these people give up their time voluntarily as well 👏

What a super Sunday 💪🏻 medal #85

Special thanks to @mollxeliz and @catlow.ian for your support as always ❤️

Second half marathon ticked off🏃🏼‍♀️✨

The sun and the vibes were definitely out in Macclesfield today so I thought I’d take you along on the journey. Though I’ve officially learned my lesson: I really need to check the elevation and map routes before signing up for a race, because boy, that was a lot more hilly than expected!!

Still so happy to get it cross the finish line. Since the last one was twice as hilly, we definitely secured a little PB💅🏻

Now, someone please tell me what the flattest half marathon in the UK is, because I’ve had enough of these inclines and might just have to sign up for a third 👀

🏃‍♀️ RUNNERS!! your gym sessions matter too!

Running is a single-leg sport, so why are we training both legs together all the time? 👀

Single-leg exercises help build strength, improve stability and address any imbalances. These are all important when it comes to running performance and injury resilience.

💪 Try incorporating:
• Bulgarian split squats
• Single-leg RDLs
• Step-ups
• Single-leg calf raises

Save this for your next gym session!
