A lofty and delicate glazed cabinet with @jamb_london ‘French tile’ wallpaper lining the sides and back of the top and bottom cabinets. @benjaminmooreuk ‘Cabbage Patch’ 2140-20 hand paint finish to the exterior. Stained Oak shelves with bead details. @phos.light Waterfall LED lighting to the back of the top display cabinet. Complete with traditional brass hinges let into the bead, locks, flush bolts and escutcheons. Decorative plaster casts from the archives of @georgejacksonltd, unfortunately not included.

2025 - Gone in a flash.

There were highs. There were curveballs. But flicking through the year yesterday reminded me we did a lot in 2025.

Personally, I spent more time focusing on the good things, spending time in nature and with friends and family. I protected my time, I said no more often that I ever have and it felt good.

Professionally...

We moved our studio, to Tadcaster, in between York, Leeds and Harrogate. @siblingworkspace

Launched our new webssite, I’m so proud to see our work showcased here. Thank you to Rachael and Simon @wildings.studio @annemarieking.photo @melissa_magson_ @davidcritchleyphoto and of course to our clients who trusted us with their homes.

Wrapped up home installations for our clients who are now living their best lives.

We welcomed back old clients we love working with.

Started new projects we can’t wait to share more of.

Behind the scenes? Well that’s all the stuff you don’t usually see...all the processes that bring our projects to life. The admin, sourcing, chasing, design tweaks, and project coordination (more chasing) on our clients behalf is relentless.

Of course, the joy we feel when we see our clients’ reaction to our work is what reminds us...it’s all worth it.

So here’s to 2026!

MEMBERS PROJECT AWARD 2025_
COMMENDATION

This year’s COMMENDATION for the TAG Best Members’ Project was awarded to Ben Pentreath, for his project: The new 'Double Helix’ staircase, Fortnum and Masons, Piccadilly.

Ben Pentreath Ltd were commissioned by Fortnum & Mason to reimagine the ground floor layout and connectivity of the iconic Piccadilly store. The goal was to restore the architectural integrity while resolving the significant congestion experienced during peak trading periods, particularly Christmas.

Following an in-depth spatial review, the team identified the need to replace the existing staircase. In its place, they designed a striking double-helix stair — a sculptural yet highly functional feature capable of accommodating large volumes of multidirectional shoppers.

With no surrounding walls for structural support, the stair was engineered to appear as though it ‘floats’ within the space — a remarkable technical feat made even more challenging by the requirement to maintain a refined neo-Georgian aesthetic. Close collaboration between architects, structural engineers, welders, and craftsmen ensured that the final design not only met these demanding criteria but also felt entirely at home within the historic Piccadilly landmark.

The Ben Pentreath Studio's project team was led by @rupertcunningham with @alice.aj.montgomery and @ja.rennie.
