Runners up will have to do for our squash team... I had one of the TOUGHEST battles I’ve had on the squash court in a long time, with a bigger battle leading up to it... weeks of debilitating tennis/squash elbow, heeeeaps of treatment.... from laser therapy to dry needling, ART, physio, chiro and finally PRP to name a few... I battled thru a neck to neck 5 set match, smashing into the wall, and diving across the court countless times and Im sure nearly taking down the back glass wall a few times too... it was a real mind game for me.
I told myself to try and enjoy it, without feeling the pressure and responsibility to the team. Reminded myself to keep smiling and even crack a laugh at times. Even though it’s a weekend warrior squash COMP with a bunch of us ‘athletes in our own minds’ getting together... to us it’s the olympics haha!
However, I got up!!! Boom 💥 Big thanks to the support of these legends and my opponent who made me work my arse off!
