I'm always happy when someone calls me to prepare on of this set ups, for my taste, one of the bests! My friend Rubén wanted a fractioned set up, with static yet comfortable webbing for long projects, so we went with Skye2 from eqb. The main idea was to prepare a set up where the fractioning wasn't done with Inov split, but with sewings, making it cleaner, nicer to walk and really easy to connect the different pieces, you just need a couple quicklinks/ soft shackles for connections! In all the loops of the main, there's a soft thimble incorporated in the loop (picture 5), so is not needed to tape or prepare a loose soft thimble before use. Just connect with a soft shackle and ready to get full strength! The different length pieces are coded with different colors on the stitching, so it's easier to know with what are you dealing with when you open the bag and find 8 loops/450m of webbing. In this case, the 2 150m pieces in blue, the 100m in yellow and the 50m in green. After preparing this set up, some meters were left unused, which were sewn and will be broken to keep up with the continuous learning 😊 And now, heading north towards France, Italy and who knows after! ✌🏼
