🌿 My Favorite Fresh Hops of 2026🌿

Sorted by style, these are the most palate pleasing creations of the season that truly blew me away.

It was a better than average season from what I sampled and while there's some obvs bias here, this year, more than ever, I returned again and again to my favorites.

If I completely missed something, feel free to chime in via the comments 🍻

Pouring at the @mikkellerbeercelebration in Beijing the past 2 days has been a memorable experience that isn’t taken for granted. The @mikkellerbeer staff and volunteers made the event go off without any issues and the attendees were great. Grateful to have our small beer project alongside some of the best breweries and people in the industry. To all the people that came by chatted, took pics, tried our beer and waited in line we appreciate you all and look forward to the next time!

Now we are off to explore more of China with @offscriptbrewing @luisinqc @messorembracitorium and @futureexcellentbeer while spreading some liquid cheer! 🍻

FRESH HOP SEASON | TWO CITIES, TWO NIGHTS! 🍻

From Portland, Oregon, all the way to China!

This October, we’re beyond excited to welcome Shaun Kalis and Dana Kalis from Ruse Brewing for two very special nights during our 2026 Fresh Hop Season!

Known for their beautifully crafted West Coast IPAs, expressive Hazies, and incredible attention to detail, Ruse has become one of Portland’s most exciting breweries.

And this time, we’re bringing more than just their freshest beers across the Pacific. We’re bringing the people and stories behind them!

🍻 THE CHINA TOUR

📍 OCT 13 | TIANJIN
Shenlan Craft Beer (深澜精酿)

📍 OCT 16 | BEIJING
Shenxiang Craft Beer (深巷精酿)

Come hang out with Shaun and Dana, talk hops, share some beers, and celebrate the magic of Pacific Northwest brewing together!

We’ll also have exclusive Ruse glassware, brewery merch, and special giveaways at the events! 🎁

Fresh hops. Great beer. Even better company.

Two cities, two unforgettable nights.

FRESH HOP SEASON CHINA2026 🌿

One harvest. Seven breweries. A season to share.

Every fresh-hop beer captures a brief moment in the harvest: a particular field, a particular crop, and the decisions a brewer makes when those hops arrive.

The name might return next year. The harvest will be different.

This October, Flavoy is bringing that experience to China:

7 breweries
31 fresh-hop beers
9 hop varieties

Brujos · Ruse · Ghost Town · Structures · Human People · Holy Mountain · Grains of Wrath

Farmers and brewers take the first leg of the journey. We carry it across the Pacific through cold-chain air freight, working with participating taprooms to get these beers into your glass while the season is still fresh.

Find participating venues on our event posters, and follow your local taproom for tap lists and pouring dates.

Here’s to tasting the 2026 harvest together. 🍻

Brewery 152: Ruse
Portland, OR

New tour beer 500 (and 501)!

Stayed in Portland later than planned to sit down with @kat_r_2304, who's an angel and waaaay too kind, and offered to do all sorts of cool things to help this trip become even more than what it already is!! Huge thanks, and I can't wait to see what comes of it!

This also meant I was in Portland late enough for places to start opening....sweet, I'd missed these guys the prior night, and was happy to return here - I'd been very happily surprised the first time I visited. This place is large, semi-open (so nice on a day this pretty!), and makes great beer. I was a bit too early in the season for their excellent dark stuff, so I went fully light with a French pilsner, then got a hazy. The former was super interesting and almost had a sparkling wine sort of effervescence to it, but it was really decent. The hazy had enough Citra to fill a dump truck and was really good!

This wasn't the longest stop, as I had to get down to Eugene and start knocking off some past favorites (and a spot that's been on my list for too long), but it was a lovely one. I'll keep coming back to these guys!

Tank top is from @torcbrewingco in Truth or Consequences, NM (one of the absolute best-named places in the US, in my own opinion); @yeti fire extinguisher was in for a long day...
