TW: sappy It feels weird closing out 2024 without taking a second to reflect on something that maybe had too profound an effect on me this past year. As a lot of you know, our family dog Pawley passed away this past spring. It happened during a time of immense change for me. I held Pawley as he passed, and was too shaken up to talk about it for a while. Our family got Pawley when I was 12. Unbeknownst to my parents, I had started having pure OCD symptoms a year earlier. At that age it was hard to live with and hard to tell “grown-ups” about the scary, never ending thoughts in my head. When we got Pawley, he was my permanent friend. No matter what kind of day I was having, I always had Pawley. He was there for walks on Jemison trail, trips to the lake, late night study sessions, college applications, college, first loves, first heartbreaks. He taught our family that dogs too can enjoy pool rafts, that nothing is really that serious, that you can never love or laugh too much, and that sometimes the beauty of playing fetch is simply throwing the tennis ball—not necessarily getting it back. In the years of having Pawley I learned new techniques for OCD. Leaning on friends and family, and telling stories. We had 15 amazing years with him, and my dad tells me that before he passed—he actually completed his first game of fetch. I think he knew he had taught us as a family all we needed to know. He raised three kids and two parents, and we are so so grateful for the time we had with him. We love you Pawley. I hope God’s throwing all the tennis balls you want. ❤️ Lowry

My dad has taught me three big things in life: 1) Work Hard - finding out what you want to do in life is the hardest part. Once you know what that is, hard work is the easy part. You can do anything you put your mind to when you work hard. 2) Take risks! Dream big. Dream the impossible. Just because it’s never been done before doesn’t mean it can’t be done. Believe in yourself and your dream, then go chase it. 3) Be kind. My dad is one of the most selfless people I know. He gives back when no one is looking, helps out friends and strangers without ever expecting a thank you, and sees his loved one’s dreams as his dreams. Kindness is a verb, and its effects last a lifetime. Thanks for the morning coffee chats, the soccer games, the race car driving lessons, and this life. Happy Father’s Day Dad! 🏎🏎🏎

“Jump, and I’ll catch you” —God In all seriousness, I want to thank my family, friends, and family-friends for making this leap to LA possible. I especially want to thank the Hogues, my amazing parents who moved heaven and earth to support my dreams, and Dan, who battled a herniated disc the whole drive just to help me feel loved and supported. No matter what comes, I am the luckiest woman in the world to have such a family by my side.❤️
