3 generations @normanjaymbe 🫱🏽‍🫲🏿

Privileged to not only have met and spent time with, but to have taken many pictures of Norman over the years. Cheesing whilst cruising through Brighton on one of his beautiful scooters, or standing proud next to one of the Rayleigh Choppers from his infamous collection.
But this leading image? I think it’s my favourite of them all because let’s be real, nothing comes close to family.

This was for an official collaboration with the Bob Marley Estate, working alongside the iconic @admiral_official .

What was supposed to be a conceptual shoot where Norman pulled up to @peoplessoundw11 quickly became an intimate gig. With Norman selecting and spinning 7” vinyls while we skanked and swayed to the rhythms surrounded by likeminded people. Mr Good Times, for real.

Join me this Sunday from 9 PM to 11 PM on @misoulradio as we honour our beloved funky soldier, Jeff Brown from London band The Pasadenas band . This photo taken by my Italian crew in late ‘87 or early ‘88 at a Shake & Fingerpop Family Funktion party at the Astoria Charing Cross Road captures the vibe when Pasadena performed one of their first club gigs, with @normanjaymbe and Judge Jules on the decks ……. Hot off the heels of the recent DJ support for Craig Charles in @thefoxandfirkin garden,

I got a chance to once again reunite with @dj.jamie.moon (MoonZone anyone?),
Who opened up the day for everyone on what was arguably,
The culmination of one of the hottest weeks of the UK calendar up until this point.

Ended up pulling double duty and playing a late set inside alongside a bonus set after Russ Jay,
Whose father,
The legendary Norman Jay MBE,
Had to forfeit due to illness - thankfully passing it on to his own son Russ.

We all came together,
One Nation Under A Groove
To celebrate a legend.
