That Which Is Heard will have its Canadian premiere at my hometown festival, Forest City Film Festival 2026. Once upon a time, I danced on the stage of the Wolf Performance Hall. Many, many years later, my film will be screening in the city and community that raised me. So much of who I am and my artistry started here. Would love to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones. Come watch with me! 🎟️ Tuesday, October 20 at 4:00 PM

Superfest Film Spotlight: That Which is Heard That Which is Heard is an intimate observational-style documentary about Shruti Kothari, a former Stratford Festival actress whose world drastically changed in March 2020, when she suffered a stroke just days before the onset of the global pandemic. Four years later, she and her three close friends—Ruth Goodwin (The Howland Company), Liz Johnston (The Second City), and acclaimed director Ravi Jain (Why Not Theatre/The Stratford Festival) come together to create a deeply personal storytelling stage show reflecting Shruti’s experiences, and her relationship with theatre before and after her stroke. Kris will join us tomorrow, July 6th and Tuesday, July 7th! So grab your tickets while you still can! ABOUT KRIS: Kris Siddiqi is a Toronto-based comedian, actor, writer, creator and lifelong Dungeon Master.
An alumni of The Second City’s Mainstage company, Kris spent years honing his skills in longform improvisation, character creation, and collaborative storytelling before bringing those instincts into the world of fantasy roleplaying. Kris is the co-creator, co-writer, and star of the award-winning comedy series Bit Playas, which earned two Canadian Screen Awards, including Best Writing and Best Web Program or Series. His screen credits include #TheBoys, Molly’s Game, #Titans, The Changeling, and Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent, and Baroness Von Sketch Show.

In the tabletop world, Kris is the creator, sound designer, and lead performer behind the acclaimed fantasy audio drama Dwarven Moss, an atmospheric actual-play series celebrated for blending improvisational comedy, cinematic sound design, and emotionally driven fantasy storytelling into what fans have described as “the HBO of D&D.” He is also the Dungeon Master and creator of The Roll Players, a live theatrical Dungeons & Dragons experience featuring some of Canada’s top improvisers, where fantasy adventure collides with longform comedy and chaotic audience energy.
