This year, I decided to grow vegetables. I used grow bags and containers. I didn't want to invest in something more substantial without knowing if it would work. I planted arugula, lettuce, tomatoes, basil, green zucchini, yellow squash, as well as marigolds for pest control. I've eaten arugula and some baby lettuce already.
I'm still waiting on the tomatoes and squash. Check out this lovely fresh basil! I made pesto with it. Yum!
I love gardening. It's hard physical work but worth it!

I finished another 1000 piece puzzle last night. This one was not a favorite as it had too many grays, but the finished product is lovely. As usual, one piece is missing thanks to #Sparky. I seem to be unable to have a complete puzzle ever. Sparky thinks puzzle pieces are delicacies.🙄
Still, this was fun and meditative.

So happy that I got @dianeserralta into #geocaching
So much fun, adventure, and frights😂 It's also a great way to be active, and visit new places.

Late lunch/early dinner at our favorite restaurant in Charleston, Rue de Jean. We always come here when in the area. Their truffle fries are to die for. My steak was too overdone but the manager got me a better steak, and the bartender found me a delightful IPA.

Perfect weather for a long stepping day at the Caw Caw Nature Preserve with bestie @dianeserralta
No eagles sighted, but a timber rattlesnake in the water was cool. Also, learning about how rice was cultivated by enslaved Africans.

My Peak Challenge
September Moonro Step Challenge Final Report

It was a tough month.
I only paddled 91.07 miles of my 100 mile kayaking September goal. 😥

However,
I competed in the
Catawba River Ramble for Recovery finishing 1st in my Division.
This weekend, our Team finished 1st in our Division in the Ashley River Adventure Relay. (THANKS REBECCA!)

I posted a Personal Best on the Betty's Branch Loop finishing the 6.2 miles in 1:08.

And, I volunteered for Ironman Augusta 70.3 Water Safety Team.

While I'm a bit disappointed, it was a fun month!
Steps plus Kayaking time conversion equals 438,838 steps for September!

If you haven't donated already, please consider it.
FB & IG algorithms prevented many people from seeing our fundraiser.
