Got the camera out for the first time in months to capture this special gathering of football, art and community. This is my third final and every time I’m more blown away by what @reireifromthebaybay, @azar_bc, @b_howie_, @juicy_james22 and the rest of the team are building here for San Francisco

Just need to see the @sfcityfc team back competing next time…

Ruth Bibas knew from a young age that she was meant to work in sports, whether reporting from the sidelines or emceeing on the field. Her career inspires many in the sports world, and she’s just getting started.

When Ruth was in college studying journalism, she knew she didn’t want to work in “hard news”. Topics such as pop culture, investigative journalism, and sports (specifically futbol and baseball) were so contemporary in her life that they ignited her passion to work in the sports industry

When the SJ Quakes faced LAFC in their annual “Primetime” match at Levi’s Stadium, Ruth was reporting for MLS En Español and created some social media content with them. That’s when the Quakes reached out to Ruth and initiated talks about becoming their official in-stadium host.

Ruth had never emceed before when she started working for the Quakes, but her social media and journalism experience contributed to her
confidence and her ability to perform in front of thousands of fans. It was additionally her first time working for a specific team.

Ruth recently had the opportunity to work at the 2026 World Cup during the matches at Levi’s Stadium. She describes it as one of the most incredible and fulfilling moments in her life. Seeing the greatest tournament in sports history was a huge full-circle moment for her as a fútbol fan, and something she will never forget.

Q: If you could share one important piece of advice, what would it be?

A: Take care of yourself, whatever that means to you. Taking care of ourselves looks different for everyone - and make sure you surround yourself with people who uplift you and add to your life; no energy suckers!

Ruth’s journey is one of hard work and
determination. She continues to inspire
the people alongside her, along with aspiring content creators. If you’ve ever met Ruth, one thing you’d remember about her is her kindness she has towards everyone. Ruth has been in the sports game for a few years now, and she’s on
