If your ankle doesn't hinge, your knee will collapse. It’s a "Vicious Cycle" of compensation. 🔄🛑
We recently performed an integrated RunEasi screening on a runner struggling with persistent left knee pain. The data revealed exactly why her "regular" rehab wasn't working: her knee was being bullied by her ankle and hip.
The "Vicious Cycle" Breakdown:
📍 The Ankle Block: With 0% of dorsiflexion, her tibia couldn't move forward. To find motion, her foot overpronated, pulling the knee into Valgus (caving inward).
📍 The Hip Brake: Posterior hip capsule stiffness prevented terminal extension, leading to an 11% stability asymmetry.
📍 The Power Leak: To compensate for the stiffness, she developed a left lateral trunk lean, wasting energy and shifting load onto the painful knee.
The "Best of Bergen" 1-on-1 plan:
We didn't just rub the knee. We re-engineered the system:
✅ Unlock the Hinge: We used posterior talocrural joint mobs and specific mobility drills to restore the ankle's "hinge." so she can work it on her own.
✅ Posterior Hip Reset: Quadruped posterior hip capsule mobs to remove the "brake" and allow for a powerful, pain-free push-off.
✅ Soleus Strength: Building the "Engine Room" of the lower leg to support the new ankle range.
✅ Rhythm & Resilience: Using a metronome to bump cadence from 150 to 165 spm, instantly offloading the knee. Will focus on incorparing this in strides
✅ The Core Cue: By simply coaching her to "tighten the core," which decreases the lateral trunk lean and saw her symmetry normalize on the RunEasi dashboard in real-time. 🧠⚡️🦾
Stop treating the symptom. Start fixing the system. 🏆🏅

Data doesn't lie. This is what a 3-month "Injury Preventer" reset looks like. 🔬🏃‍♂️
In October, T came to us with persistent knee pain and a 15% impact asymmetry. Every mile she ran was dumping disproportionate force into one side of her body—a ticking time bomb for injury. 📉
The 1-on-1 Revolution:
Over 12 weeks of Doctor-led care, we didn't just "stretch" her. We used RunEasi biomechanical data to audit her movement, then used 1-on-1 loading to:
✅ Normalize her symmetry from 15% to an elite 2%.
✅ Stabilize wasted side-to-side hip movement by 30%.
✅ Lock in a consistent, efficient cadence.
The Result: She is back to running with Zero Pain and a frame that is Built to Last. 🛡️🏆
We were voted Best of Bergen because we bridge the gap between clinical science and high-performance results. Stop guessing with your training. Start measuring.

If your ‘Return to Run’ program doesn’t include explosive strength training and plyometrics... you deserve better.” 🎙️🛡️
We said what we said.
Running isn’t just “cardio.” It’s a series of thousands of high-velocity, single-leg plyometric bounds. Every time your foot hits the pavement, you are absorbing and producing between 3x to 8x your body weight in force. ⚡️
If your PT program consists of nothing but clamshells, light resistance bands, and bird-dogs, you aren’t being prepared for the reality of the road. Those exercises have their place in the first week of rehab, but they don’t translate to the massive forces of a running stride. You’re being set up for a cycle of re-injury.
At The Injury Preventer, we bridge the gap between rehab and elite performance:
💥 Landmine Explosive Squats: We focus on the “up” phase to build the raw power and rate of force development needed for a strong, efficient stride.
💥 Seated to Squat Jumps: By starting from a dead stop, we eliminate momentum and force your nervous system to fire your glutes and quads instantly.
💥 Lunge Jumps: This is the gold standard for developing the eccentric control and stability required for every single landing.
Why elite runners choose the “Best of Bergen” winner:
✅ 1-on-1 with a Doctor of PT: No aides, no hand-offs, no being “passed around.”
✅ Sport-Specific Loading: We train you to handle the actual 6x+ bodyweight forces of your sport.
✅ Results-Driven Roadmap: We don’t just fix the pain; we build the athlete. 🏆
Stop settling for “traditional” PT that leaves you vulnerable. You deserve a specialist who understands the physics of running.

End of the year running party and celebrating 5 Years of @rutherfordrunners 🥳 Thankful to be part of such amazing and supportive group of runners! This year I ran my 6th & 7th marathon! 6-7!!!!!!!!

I sometimes can’t believe life has taken me to where i am! The idea of running 26.2 miles was once crazy!!!! Having finished 7 out of 7 is even crazier! But running 2 marathons in one year?!?! MENTAL!!! Ok I did 2 also in 2023 🤭 But I know of some who did 3 this year 🫨

Running has been one of life’s greatest gifts! I met new friends and have gotten to know myself even better! Do everything with intention and celebrate every MILE!

Life has been so challenging lately but it’s good to know i’m in company of physically and mentally strong people who can conquer anything which means so can I 💪🏼

Thank you @londonmarathon and @nycmarathon for the 26.2 miles experience! And Congratulations again to all my fellow runners who showed up, dealt with the porta potties and smiled at every mile!!!!
