Last week we ran the annual golf day at Sunningdale for the @ruthstraussfoundation , and what a day it was☀️

The Old Course shone in all its glory and we had a wonderful turn out from supporters including @officialgraemeswann , @michaelvaughan , @sambillings , @benearl7 and Taskmaster’s @littlealexhorne

Plenty got the better of @petecrocombe on the 13th, but nobody drove away in the hole-in-one Mercedes this year…! ⛳️

Thank you to all our wonderful suppliers and to everyone who played and helped raise vital funds for RSF❤️

Day 6: In support of the @ruthstraussfoundation I was lucky to have my second round at Sunningdale Golf Course in as many weeks !
An unbelievable day with some great people (including a nice little matchup vs @onehundredtees ).
The game is improving but winter is nearing and it is time to book some lessons!
Anyone got any recommendations ? 🏌️‍♂️⛳️

Yesterday, 40 of us from @fitworks_training took on @battleglobal in London… and together we’ve raised over £6,000 for this wonderful charity! @ruthstraussfoundation ♥️🙌

I honestly couldn’t be prouder of this incredible bunch. Not just for what they achieved yesterday, but for all the training, commitment and encouragement they’ve given each other along the way.

Watching everyone come together, push themselves and cheer each other on was something special. So much heart, so much energy and so many reasons to keep going. ♥️

Huge thank you to @gemmajohnsonfitness and the team for organising everything, and to @nicola_gavin , @laura_healthandhumanity and @pippa_lance for the awesome classes getting everyone ready. Even during Open Gym, teams were coming together and creating their own epic sessions, I loved seeing it! No leaving me on a Sunday now… 😜😂

To everyone who competed, donated, supported and helped make this happen ♥️thank you.♥️

Day 11 of our October breast cancer awareness challenge.

My siblings and I are armed with our awareness tops and attempting to be silly once a day while highlighting a different charity or organisation doing important work.

Today’s charity is The Ruth Strauss Foundation.

They support families when a parent is diagnosed with incurable cancer, helping parents talk to their children about what’s happening and prepare them for the future. They also support healthcare professionals to have these difficult conversations with families.

This one is particularly close to my heart. My mum had stage 4 breast cancer, and we lost her in 2024.

Cancer affects the whole family, including the children who are often trying to make sense of something they don’t fully understand.

I know how important it is to help families have those conversations and make the most of the time they have together.

Because no family should have to navigate those moments without support.

What an absolute joy to host a charity triathlon for the Ruth Strauss Foundation on Sunday. Together you raised an amazing £6,372.50 … so far

It was so special to bring families and friends together to celebrate and support each other.

Our charity events over the last year have been so special. People have come together to campaign, push themselves and raise money for causes close to their hearts. We feel very lucky to host them.

Shout out to @ruthstraussfoundation @melgriffin29 @gemmacass28 for their amazing work in getting this over the line!

This year the Fitworks Training team has grown!

40 of us. One team. One very special cause. ❤️

After one of our own recently lost her partner and the father of her children, 40 of us are coming together to take on Battle Cancer in his memory, raising money for the Ruth Strauss Foundation. @ruthstraussfoundation

This incredible charity supported her and her family through an unimaginably difficult time, helping them create precious memories together.

Through their Making Memories Grant, they arranged four VIP tickets to see Come Alive in London. The Greatest Showman is their family film, making this experience especially meaningful. It became their last special day out together as a family a memory they will always treasure.

The Foundation also provided counselling and regular check ins, making sure the family felt supported throughout everything they were facing. They went above and beyond when they were needed most.

Now it’s our turn to give something back. ❤️

Together, we’ll take on Battle Cancer in memory of a much loved partner and dad, helping the Ruth Strauss Foundation continue offering other families that same care, support and opportunity to make precious memories.

If you’re able to donate, every contribution, big or small, will mean so much. Please help us support a charity that gave so much when it mattered most.

Three cancers. At the same time.

Allison was about to turn 50 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Then doctors found bowel cancer.

And then lung cancer.

Not one cancer that had spread — three completely separate primary cancers, diagnosed within months.

Allison’s lung cancer would later be identified as RET-positive — a discovery that opened the door to targeted treatment and changed what came next.

Allison found a lump on her breast.

It was stage 2 HER2 and ER+ breast cancer.

What she could never have imagined was that, within months, doctors would find two more completely separate cancers.

Bowel cancer.
And RET-positive lung cancer.

Allison was a single mum of two sons from Devon, running two small businesses and about to turn 50. Instead of planning adventures to celebrate, she began navigating three cancers, major surgery, a permanent stoma - and then the news that her lung cancer had progressed to stage 4 while awaiting surgery.

But hidden within that lung cancer was something incredibly important: a RET fusion.

Biomarker testing identified what was driving her lung cancer and opened the door to targeted therapy. Allison experienced an amazing response on her lung cancer targeted therapy. She describes simply: “It was like reversing time.”
Today, Allison is still raising her boys. Still working. Still here.

Her story is extraordinary. But it also shows exactly why research, comprehensive biomarker testing and being an informed patient matter.
