Good music deserves good beer!

That’s why we’re incredibly grateful to Great Lakes Brewery (@greatlakesbeer) for coming on board as a sponsor of the very first Palmhouse Sessions!

As a proudly Toronto-based independent brewery, GLB has spent decades supporting local artists, musicians, and community initiatives. Their support helps us bring new life to one of the city’s most beautiful public spaces while creating a platform for incredible local talent.

Grab a pint, discover some new music, and celebrate summer with us in the Palm House 🌴

Thank you, Great Lakes Brewery, for believing in what we’re building. We can’t wait to raise a glass together on July 31st!

Cheers!!🍻

GIVEAWAY TIME

You may not know J Dilla by name, but you’ve definitely heard his influence!

From The Pharcyde’s “Runnin’” and “Drop,” to Common’s “The Light,” Erykah Badu’s “Didn’t Cha Know,” De La Soul’s “Stakes Is High,” and the sound he helped shape with A Tribe Called Quest, Dilla’s influence and creative energy is all over hip-hop, jazz, soul, and neo-soul.

On July 31st at 7PM, Palmhouse Sessions Presents: The Music of J Dilla inside the historic Palm House at Allan Gardens.

A night for the beat lovers, jazz heads, Dilla fans, urbanists, plant lovers, and everyone who believes Toronto’s public spaces deserve more music, beauty, and life.

Surrounded by palms, flowers and a gorgeous glass dome, we’re bringing live music into one of Toronto’s most iconic spaces for a celebration of sound, place, and creative community.

We’re giving away 2 free tickets + 4 drink tickets.

Continuing my deeply serious ethnographic study of Toronto, the crucial question of Toronto and Drake. Does the 6ix still claim BBL Drizzy and OVO's owl? I asked Mary @ruunkiii , a Torontonian born and raised who showed me around the newly landscaped Biidaasige Park, on the island of Ookwemin Minising, in the Toronto harbour. #educational
