When we first set out to build The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad, our vision was to create the next generation of Ritz-Carlton: something that felt fresh, exciting and connected to New York City.

We were fortunate to work with the late Rafael Viñoly on the architecture, along with an exceptional group of designers in David Rockwell, Martin Brudnizki, Christian Pineda and Lázaro Rosa-Violán, each of whom brought something special to the hotel. We were equally fortunate to partner with José Andrés Group, whose food and beverage program has made this hotel one of the city’s great dining destinations.

Seeing that vision come to life has been deeply rewarding. But what makes this hotel truly special is our people.

London’s skyline has its quirks. 📐✨

The Walkie-Talkie, 20 Fenchurch Street, designed by @rva_ny , gets wider as it rises, creating its unmistakable curved silhouette.

Interesting fact: its concave glass façade once focused reflected sunlight onto the street below, creating intense heat and even damaging a parked car. The façade was later fitted with sun-shading fins to address the issue.

Over the years, I’ve photographed a lot of architecture while travelling, sometimes seeking out a building specifically and other times just stumbling across something that makes me stop and pull out my camera. These are a few of the places that have stuck with me. Different cities, architects, materials and scales, but each one changed the way I looked at space, light, form or the people moving through it.

Porte - cochére en @ciprianipunta es ejecutado por @wasi.uruguay y su equipo. A partir del análisis e interpretación de los planos y diseño creados por @rva_ny se trabajó en el cálculo de espesores y medidas ideales de la piedra granítica Miracema.
Una vez entregado el material el equipo de @wasi.uruguay con singular maestría inició el proceso de facción en taller de las diferentes piezas que componen el proyecto, así como los procesos de martelinado o flambeado según la terminacion en diseñoque cada pieza exige.
El montaje requiere de mucho conocimiento у precisión en la técnica de juntas secas exactas. Un equipo humano excepcional y comprometido que al ritmo de los verdaderos maestros
canteros avanzan
hacia un maravilloso resultado final.

@faena is taking luxury living to new heights with the unveiling of its first-ever penthouse collection at @faenaresidencesmiami.

Leading the collection is the $39.5 million Crown Residence, a two-story penthouse designed by Faena Design Studio in collaboration with Bryan O’Sullivan Studio, marking the acclaimed designer’s first Miami project.

The residence will crown the twin-tower development at 90 SW 3rd Street, which is being developed by @fortuneintl and @karproperties and designed by @rva_ny.

The 434-residence project will also feature Faena Rose, a 45,000-square-foot cultural, social and wellness destination suspended between the towers nearly 700 feet above the Miami River. Alongside an infinity-edge pool, restaurants, lounges and cultural spaces, residents will have access to @tierrasantafaena, fitness studios, padel, a golf simulator, resort-style pools and a range of hospitality services.

$39.5 million for a penthouse on the Miami River. Would you pay it?

Faena has revealed the first penthouse collection at Faena Residences Miami, 90 SW 3rd Street, led by a two-level Crown Residence asking $39.5 million, with about 8,200 square feet inside and another 6,900 square feet of terraces, including a private rooftop pool. That works out to about $4,817 per interior square foot. The rest of the $250 million collection starts at $6.9 million.

The project is from Fortune International Group and KAR Properties, with architecture by Rafael Viñoly Architects and interiors by Faena Design Studio with Bryan O'Sullivan Studio, the London firm's first Miami project. The two towers are linked by Faena Rose, a club and cultural space of about 45,000 square feet. The developers say a $30 million penthouse sale there this summer was the largest residential sale ever recorded on the Miami River.

What it means: the river is being priced as a waterfront address in its own right. My take: a closing anywhere near this ask would reset the comp set for every riverfront tower in the urban core. Until then, it is an ask, not a sale.
