The beginners mind is the most powerful. Free from presumption. Open to fresh insight. Available to inspiration. Even if one has heard the same message a million times, it’s the beginners mind that allows them to receive with hungry, grateful eyes.

The truths that bear repeating are ones innocently dismissed for more complicated and scientifically proven ideas. But eventually we all come back to the basics.

Your life is a gift. Everything you love in your life is a gift. Here for you to enjoy. The people. Your body. Your ideas. Even the more challenging aspects - are ultimately here to break you free from self imposed limitation and get back to the life force that created this place. For the joy of it.

The simplest and most effective equation is - the more you reside in gratitude, the more you think grateful thoughts, have grateful ideas, and create more things you’re grateful for in your life.

You actually don’t help anything falling down the doomer pipeline. You residing in joy and gratitude allows you to have an open heart to meet yourself as challenges and pain arise. By integrating one’s own experience and emotions, the resistance veil lifts and access to solutions from a different frequency than the problems is available.

Last call to all my last minute sign up people. I get you. And. Mystery & Mastery is pretty much at capacity but I just feel like there’s a couple of shiny stars out there that would SOAR in this program.

I'm 29.5 years old and I just got my drivers license!!!

When I was a teenager I developed a really deep anxiety around cars. By the time I was 16 I was in no rush to get my license because I was afraid and I had a lot of people in my life who were happy to do the driving. When I was 17, my boyfriend at the time - who was an extremely dangerous driver and all around cruel person - tried to teach me to drive, and the experience put me off learning to drive because I was convinced any other teacher would make me feel just as scared. The echoes of the trauma from that relationship still come up from time to time even after a decade+ of working on it - so I had no interest in triggering myself by getting in the driver's seat. In the last 13 years I've let at least four learner's permits expire, sometimes never getting behind the wheel a single time.

After moving to central MA from Burlington I knew I didn't have another option but learning to drive; the public transit here is Not Good and the places I need to go are much further from home. I stalled for a long time but finally felt ready to start lessons last summer. After 2 weeks of online classroom instruction with kids half my age, road lessons that were a mixed bag of tears, embarrassment, support, and building confidence, and lots and lots of practice.. I passed my road test yesterday 🥺

I know I have a lot more learning and practicing to do but this is a massive weight off my shoulders and I'm so excited to finally feel as independent as I did in Vermont. Here are some of my favorite "I can't drive" memes because I'll never be able to post them again.

Shout outs to the teachers at CMSC who never shamed me for being an adult learner, my derby league mates who have carpooled with me for the last two and a half years, @littlehenriques for getting their license the second we turned 16 and being my designated driver since, and ESPECIALLY @run.the.dishwasher who has hauled my ass around for the better part of the decade, never complained about me being his passenger princess, and was so damn patient and supportive during my learning process. Thanks for teaching me 💚
