What a fantastic day at the Redhawks Golf Scramble!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year's Redhawks Golf Scramble! From our golfers and sponsors to the volunteers who made the day possible, we're grateful for your support of Roberts Athletics and our student-athletes.

It was a wonderful day of community, competition, and connection, including spending time with President Dr. Nicholas Willis as we continue investing in the future of Roberts.

Such an amazing 2nd day of the Full Court Hoops July camp!

We started off the day practicing our sign language with help from our friends at St. Mary’s School for the Deaf! The SMSFD @smsdbuffalo716 players again brought an incredible spirit. It was a blessing to join together with them for these past 2 days.

Next, we had an AWESOME visit with Coach Kristen Sharkey @kristen_sharkey and the UB Bulls @ubwomenshoops ! Coach Summer Hemphill @summaluh , Coach Damon Jones Sr. @djonessss_ , and sophomores Meg Lucas @meglucas , Deana Thompson @deanat11 , and Kyleigh Hall @hall_ky10 joined Coach Sharkey and were incredibly open and willing to share with our court full of young ball players who had a ton of questions. Thank you all for your time, energy, and grace… you inspired and touched lives today.

Finally, Coach Kevin Clifford @coach_cliffrobertswbb from Robert’s Wesleyan University @rwu_wbb had the gym moving with a great shooting and dribbling workout. Coach Cliff keeps a fast pace and the girls had definitely put in some work when we were finished. He also took time to discuss training habits and the mindset our campers will need to move to the next stages of basketball. Thank you for the fun work, your knowledge, and for pouring into the next generation of players.

Coach Cliffs 6-Star Basketball Workouts!

A hot gym doesn’t stop the work! Most of my workouts are exactly the same… for 3 months at a time I attack a specific skill or movement pattern with reps, reps, and more reps. That style of training works for me and I believe in it. But every once in awhile it’s fun and useful to change pace, work with a different coach, and do something new. Last night was a fun opportunity to work through a modified Pistol Pete Knee Clap drill and some other dribbling drills that aren’t part of my usual rotation. I worked up to 5 claps on the clap drill! Not bad for my first time.

Thank you to Coach Kevin Clifford @coach_cliffrobertswbb from Roberts Wesleyan University @rwu_wbb and his staff for sharing your knowledge, giving your time, and bringing great energy on a hot night! Thank you to Coach Sal @coachsalcaterina and @fullcourthoops_ for facilitating the event. Thank you to the Kenmore Knights of Columbus @kofc_official for hosting. Thank you to @larubia_912 for the video clips.

After a conversation and a lot of thought with my parents, I am beyond excited to announce that I am officially committed to continue my academic and athletic career at Roberts Wesleyan University, where I will be playing both flag football and basketball! @rwu_wbb @rwuflagfootball

First and foremost, I want to thank God for blessing me with this opportunity. Thank you to my parents @coachdyer1 @kia_shanice_dyer for their endless love, support, and sacrifices, my coaches @charrisee @coachvic585 for pushing me to be the best version of myself, my AAU director @xgenelite , teammates, family, and everyone who has believed in me throughout this journey. @eastridge_athletics

This dream would not have been possible without all of you. I’m incredibly grateful for every lesson, challenge, and opportunity that helped shape me into the person and athlete I am today.

The work continues. ❤️🖤#committed #goredhawks🔴⚫️ #StudentAthlete #dualsportathlete
