What a full circle moment this was.

Seeing how far all these lifters have come genuinely is one of the most fulfilling things I’ve ever been apart of in my entire life. I couldn’t be more proud of every single person who competed this past weekend!!

When I started this club I had no idea how it would be received. The sport of powerlifting isn’t the most common and it can be daunting. I wasn’t sure if it was gonna work and wanted to just call it quits after nobody came to our first few meetings but man am I glad we stuck it out. I never ever imagined that all the things this club would grow to be, would ever happen. Powerlifting has done so much for me and my life and continues to be what allows me to grow and be. All I’ve ever wanted to do was share this experience with other like minded people. And I can say this day really allowed me to take it in and realize I accomplished exactly that.

I’ve got so much to learn as an athlete, coach, and handler, but I have never been more sure that this is something I would love to continue for as long as reasonably possible. Between seeing my own athletes and even the ones I don’t personally coach have fun, create this tight knit community, and of course progress as lifters and people, really really hit deep to know I’ve left behind something they can all enjoy and will remember for life.

Thank you guys for such a special day fr❤️‍🔥

Bar is loaded‼️

I competed in my first USAPL meet this Sunday and it was amazing. I like to thank my coach and one of my greatest friends @khalil.pwrlft for believing in me and pushing me past my limits. Bro has inspired me to become great and I couldn’t ask for anything more. Thank you for everything family ❤️‍🔥. I’d also thank @rwupowerlifting for becoming my family. I met so many amazing people and they all have so much potential. Credits too @t.babcock_photography for the coldest pic of me I ever seen in slide 2. Can’t wait to compete against my guy @ira.deshields he’s a dawg🙏🏾

I ended up going 7/9 so not bad. Unfortunately a few things did not go my way. I realize it was my first one and I worked for it so I’m proud to say I hit big PRs in every lift. Moving my first two squats and benches like air and absolute crushing deadlift. Proud to say I’m part of the 405 deadlift and hitting 402 pounds.

I am beyond thankful to compete. I can definitely say powerlifting is a sport I have fallen in love with. The amount of times when I though it wasn’t for me and felt like giving up. Coming in freshman year with mental health and how small I was. I came a long way and had such amazing support. My friends who have became my family have really pushed me through. My next USAPL, I need to go 9/9 and hopefully heading to regionals 🦅
