I am honored to announce that I will be marching with Rhythm X this WGI season!

I have dreamed about being a part of this group for so long. I will always remember the first time I watched one of the shows, I was absolutely hooked forever.

I’m excited to keep grinding🙅🏻‍♂️ #X27

The Rhythm X Battery Sound 🎼

SNARES
● Drums: FFXCC Championship CarbonCore
● Heads: Evans Hybrid Snare Drumhead (top) + MX5 (bottom)
● Sticks: Promark DCPM1
● Tune the bottom head to a D
● Keep the tops lower than a D, typically around a C-C#
● The gut tension should be around a C
● Make sure the guts are flush with the bottom head (no downward bend past the shell)
● Apply lithium grease inside the lug casings
● “We hadn’t taped the bottom heads in years. This year, parts of the book were so dense that we wanted to shorten the sound.” — Josh Brickey, Battery Caption Head
