There are plenty of songs about being wronged. On “notmyproblem”, Los Angeles artist, songwriter and producer RXRXBBIT writes about the part you played in the damage, too: seeing yourself as the victim, knowing you are feeding the cycle, and still telling yourself it isn’t your problem.

The surreal video turns that into a world of its own. An androgynous, otherworldly Entity stands for the beliefs she builds to justify staying, and a black ribbon stands for innocence, choice and the consequences that grow from them.

She produces her own music and refuses to settle on one genre, moving between alt-pop, electropop, dance pop and the stranger edges of hyperpop. Since 2025 she has reached 1.9 million Spotify streams from 781,000 listeners, after singles like “SUNK COST”, “ifimOK” and “USIN IT”. “notmyproblem” is out now.

First time making a mini music video ✅

Recently discovered this song by @rxrxbbit and I’m completely obsessed bc of how hard I relate to it 😭. As someone who has spent so much of my life not liking myself, and not being happy with where I was…it’s very hard to accept finally feeling happy. Finally feeling like I’m on the right path 🥹

And yes, sometimes the old coping mechanisms like to creep in. Self-sabotage happens sometimes. But I think that’s human. All we can do is try our best and I’m just grateful I get to be here and live thru the highs AND lows bc that’s life 🤷‍♀️

But real talk, this was really fun to film. Think I might do it again sometime 👀

and that this community will really relate to it as I did

sometimes I can’t help but wonder how different my life would look without every single moment hurting physically, I’m so happy and thankful for what I have accomplished living with my conditions, but I do wonder who I could be without all of this pain. Who I would be if I was a little more okay….
