I typically don’t do much for my birthday because it’s always freezing❄️ & my birthday always fell right on finals week in school. However, I decided that I would get out of my comfort zone and do more this year, and let me tell you- I had a wonderful time!🔥

💎To kick things off, I had a girls’ night at @studio.compound.dmv , where the girls & I recorded a rap track together. It was chaotic but hilarious and so fun… truly 10/10, highly recommend!

💎Then I kept the vibes going at the @coalitionproperties Annual Holiday Party — such a beautiful and well put together event. Thank you to the team for hosting an amazing night!✨

💎 I wrapped up the weekend with service at @weareunionchurch , followed by brunch and a relaxing stay at the @royalsonesta to close out the birthday festivities the right way.

I hope everyone had an amazing day! Since I was diagnosed with Alopecia about six years ago, my mom has made it her mission to create a community of girls who look just like me—and she did it! 💫 Over the past year, she’s connected with about 10 moms of young girls with Alopecia, forming a beautiful network of support and understanding.

This past Sunday, in celebration of Alopecia Awareness Month, we finally brought that group chat to life! It was nothing short of magical ✨. Six of us got together in person (and one joined virtually!) for an unforgettable day. Dressed in shades of blue—the official color for Alopecia awareness—we met up at @luxebloombar for an experience we’ll never forget. 💙

We’ve been seeing a lot of jokes and speculations being made after an incident between celebrities. Let’s clear up something’s about Alopecia !

Alopecia is an autoimmune condition that develops when the body attacks its own hair follicles which can cause hair loss anywhere on the body. No, it is not contagious and yes it can start at any age.
There are 3 main types of Alopecia
Alopecia Areata: this is when the body is losing hair in patches
Alopecia totalis: the person loses all hair on the scalp causing the head to be completely bald
Alopecia universalis: The person loses all hair, leaving the body completely hairless. This is the most rare.

Zena Has been dealing with Alopecia areata since she was about 7 years old but sadly there wasn’t much awareness on the condition so her family did their best to hide her patches. Once she found out her niece had alopecia she decided to see a specialist and found out she too had a form of alopecia. So she cut it all off and continues to do so to encourage Hailey.

Hailey has been dealing with alopecia for the past 4 years and has had her parents and aunty Zena by her side every step of the way. With social media and a new day in age Hailey has been able to turn her condition into something much bigger! She uses her platform to encourage others to be bold in there baldness!

Let’s remember that peoples reality isn’t a joke. This is something not only the individual has to deal with but family members, spouses, and friends as well!
