Small Business Saturday feels like the perfect time to share this moment.

Earlier this year, photographer Lance Mercer (@lancemphoto) brought @easystreetrecords owner Matt Vaughan (@easystreetguy) face to face with the miniature of his shop, a 1/2-inch scale replica by artist @rosettagreek, entitled “The Corner of California and Alaska.”

This is “Easy, Weirdo.” A full circle moment between artists, friends, and one very special small business.

Easy Street Records has been fighting the big guys since 1988, and they’ve supported this community every step of the way. Today we honor the places that hold our history and the Weirdos who help keep it alive.

When you shop local, sales tax from your purchases support public schools, parks, roads, sidewalks, and the people who keep our communities running, like firefighters and public service workers.

Such an honor not only to come out and show my support, but also to document such a special space, incredible business, wonderful group of people, and exciting occasion.

Thunder Road Guitars’ new West Seattle location is absolutely beautiful, and it’s easy to see why so many people came out to celebrate. From the ribbon cutting and familiar faces showing their support to the awesome giveaways, the energy all morning was incredible.
