this past semester, i have been working hard in a class called video preproduction on my film “Chained”, a story about an 18-year-old girl getting into an abusive relationship in her first year of school. although my film was not greenlit, i am so proud of all of the work i put into it. i did the absolute best i could with the materials i had. i know my film was good, and i hope to still potentially one day make it in the future. despite the obvious sadness that comes with not being able to submit my film into the film festival, i wanted to share 2 pieces of work that came out from this experience. one is my proof of concept for the film shown to the producers, edited by myself and the incredible @baileyjamieson. the other is the documentary I made with @nohlin_reymond and @anna.chaloult documenting this experience. both videos are posted now on my youtube, linked in bio. go check them out!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas this year. I most definitely did. Things can get rough but spending time with family, and helping out those closest to you can help start to make you feel better. The second photo is my dads gift, and the third is my brother @thechamp8130 showing his son his gift. Gotta love it! Merry Christmas from the Olsen Family 🎄🎁

What is a Marine? A Marine is someone who talks like a sailor, walks like a soldier, and claims the title of being a Marine. Marines are taught to obey and execute orders with speed, volume, intensity and perfection. Boot camp teaches you a lot. It’s a tough experience and an introduction into a new life and career. It may also be one of the most rewarding experiences that a person can have the privilege to be a part of. I met a lot of great people to include my drill instructors and the other marines in platoon 3016. Soon I’ll be on to the next stage of Marine life at MCT. I am excited to go new places and learn new things even if they might suck in the moment. The memories that you get are irreplaceable and can only be appreciated by those who have gone through the same type of training as you have. The title of Marine is earned and never given and is something I will always be proud of. However, it would never be possible without the continued support from family, friends, and my lovely girlfriend. These are some of my favorite photos that were taken while my family was there for family day and graduation.

The best way to wrap up the summer is to spend some time with your day one homies. This vacation marked the end of one part of my life and the beginning of a new one. For my two life long friends @elliottjonah and @adrianmalave7 I wish you two the best of luck in the new parts of your lives. You guys will do great things. Everyone else will be going into their senior year. Enjoy it as much as you can and make everything last. Wouldn’t have wanted to spend time with anyone else. Even @dijy_10 and my boy Danny showed up. To the @isabelle.lang and @sophielanggg you both are the biggest punks but I still love y’all and wish you two the best. Thank you all for always being there when I needed it. Love you all.
