Western Regionals did not go the way I would have liked it too. So here’s to doing a lot better at Nationals. I’d also like to thank all my friends and family who helped me throughout Eros’ career and keep motivating me.

Ojai Von Quellwasser FR2

I can’t explain how much I love stepping onto the field with this dog. She isn’t like the Malinois by any means, the balance in training is quite different, but she is a rad dog with so much heart.

I decided to trial her in French Ring about 2 years ago and actually started in May of 2025. We ended up getting the brevet and first leg done in one weekend. Then I did the second leg and went for regionals the next week and got another leg. At that point, she qualified for Championships so I drove her out to Ohio with Waffle so she could do a 4th leg. She ended up 3rd for the Championship in Level 1 for 2025.

January came around and I could tell she still wanted to play(and so did I.) It’s not a common route for most female German shepherds with the increased decoy pressure, longer program and jumps of course. I started working the jumps and searches with her and we ended up getting her first leg of French Ring 2 in April.

Two weeks ago we made the drive down to @copperstateringclub ‘s beautiful field in Williams and got the 2nd leg of Ring 2. A huge thank you to @hunterk9 for judging and @ryan_butka + @tymonson1 for decoying. Have a few things to work on but we aren’t done with French Ring just yet 🇫🇷⚔️

Für die einen: ein spektakulärer BOOM-Moment.
Der Hund schlägt in den Helfer ein – schnell, kraftvoll, beeindruckend.
Doch was steckt wirklich dahinter? Was sehen Zuschauer, die den Sport kaum kennen – und was erkennen diejenigen, die ihn verstehen?
Wir sind gespannt auf eure Perspektive!

🇺🇸
For some, it’s simply a spectacular BOOM moment.
The dog hits the helper — fast, powerful and impressive.
But what’s really behind it? What do people see when they’re unfamiliar with the sport — and how do those who truly understand it explain this moment?
We can’t wait to hear your perspective!

Great Video from @ryan_butka and @copperstateringclub and @norcaldabber1

Two days and two legs of Ring 3 with Jocko. 🇺🇸🐺

🥈 2nd place — Day 1
🥇 1st place — Day 2

Arizona is always a special trip for me. Beyond the competition, getting to spend time with my Arizona Ring family is something I always look forward to.

A huge thank you to @hunterk9 and @karlyeliizabeth for having us out and opening up your home to us. We truly wouldn’t be where we are today without Chad’s help, guidance, and friendship over the years. I’m incredibly grateful for everything he’s poured into Jocko and me.

A special thank you to @kayyyabulencia for spending her birthday weekend at a dog trial 😘

Another great weekend doing what we love with great people. Until next time, Arizona. 🤘🇺🇸

Today me and Malone stepped on the trial field and successfully closed out our Ring 1! I have worked my ass off and I’m so glad to see it show on the field. Malone still has some things to work on but overall really happy with how he did, we just wanted that pass! Thanks to Chad for the fair judging, Ryan and Florian for catching this big horse dog! Thanks Copper State Ring for hosting a smooth trial! ANDDD huge congrats to my club members Dave and Jen for also passing their levels this weekend on Saturday!

This weekend Notti and I got to compete in our French Ring brevet, scoring a perfect 100 points. I’m insanely proud of her and all the hard work she’s done, and there’s no dog I’d rather be going through this journey with. It’s funny how an animal can change the trajectory of your life. There’s many people that have helped me start this journey, namely @loupsdulac and @tymonson1 Dave for his mentorship, world class training, answering any question I have, the countless tips and tricks, and for giving me such a life changing dog that I love so much. Ty for the many many hours he’s let my dog bite him, and the help training both Notti and myself. Thank you both for your friendship and mentorship. Last but not least my family that cheers me on and loves Notti (almost) as much as I do.

What she lacks in size, she makes up in speed and heart 🫶🏼⚔️

Thank you @ryan_butka and @catchingk9s for the great decoy work .

Thank you to everyone who’s ever suited up for my girl. She’s not the easiest to catch, but we wouldn’t be here without ya’ll.

Thank you @kismetk9media for 📸
