What an honor to be featured on NPR’s Jazz Night in America! 💙🎶 @jazznightinamerica

A huge thank you to the wonderful @chrmcbride and the @nprmusic team for shining light on my jazz vocalism, and contribution to this expansive art form.

To share Expecting with a community that celebrates Black music tradition is such a gift.✨

It is the honour of a lifetime to create with my brothers.

Thank you for believing and thank you for trusting us in what turned into an extremely fruitful, nourishing and teaching time in our lives. From sunrise to sunset, and everything in between, it has been my entire purpose and now our collective duty is done.

A million and more thank yous to @dr_ed_boogie. Across the many zoom calls, phone calls, all nighters, therapy sessions, garage trips, music rabbit holes, you were a constant example of greatness and class. A true friend, thank you for everything.

I am so proud to have collaborated with, and to showcase the talents of, some of my nearest and dearest friends as well as some personal musical inspirations. Thank you, @buckisugar, @olli_appleyard, @morganjfaith, @solidshade, @mansurbrown and @jrakz for joining us.

Onwards, grateful.

April cover star SOFIA ISELLA has never been interested in making you comfortable.

Across four self-released EPs, she has built a world of sharp lyricism, eerie intimacy, and brutal honesty — the kind that holds a mirror a little too close. With her new EP, Something is a shell ., she leans even further in: darker, rawer, and fully exposed.

Expanding across all departments. This is Culture Wave.

Artist managers Ryan Cunningham and Mike Bingham of Polarizer Management have joined Culture Wave, bringing their rosters into the company’s growing management division. Cunningham represents The Armed, Prostitute, Trauma Ray, Patrick Shiroishi, Truck Violence, Jodi, while Bingham joins with Trauma Ray, Spiritual Cramp and Agriculture. Cunningham will remain in his role at Biz 3 Publicity where he’s been a publicist for 12 years.

“I’m immensely excited to join Culture Wave and bring my roster over,” says Cunningham. “Jason, Andrew, and the team they’ve built lead with real care, innovation, and humanity, and that’s the environment I want my artists in.”

“When the time came for Polarizer Management to align with a larger company to better serve our artists’ growth, Culture Wave’s scale, momentum, and strategic thinking reflected exactly the trajectory we were striving toward,” adds Bingham. “We couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead.”

Culture Wave Co-Founder Andrew Jarrin adds, “Mike and Ryan’s collaborative, forward-thinking approach fits seamlessly with what we’re building. Having true partners - people who push and support one another - makes all the difference.”

The company also announces the promotion of Rachel Hacken to Artist Manager, transitioning from day-to-day support for Jason Mageau’s roster. Hacken now manages Kittie, Gore., Thousand Below, and Holy Wars.

“Rachel has been instrumental behind the scenes for years,” says Mageau. “She’s handled complex situations with care and precision, and I’m excited to support her continued growth.”

Hacken adds, “After working alongside Jason Mageau for the past 3.5 years, I’m excited to step into this new role and continue building my roster within Culture Wave.”

The management company continues to strengthen its team with several new hires, expanding operations across touring and marketing:

Alana Lopez (Touring & Logistics Manager)
Madison Stern (Day-to-Day Manager)
Ana Garcia (Digital Marketing Coordinator)
Erin Carignan (Day-to-Day Manager)
Joey Mullen (co-manager for the band Agriculture)
