Festival of the Timelords, or What Rhodian Prince Did (30/5/26)
———————
God, where to begin here? This was a decade coming for me and Greg, especially. We’ve tried to end up in a room together for a whole decade. Blimey! He’d end up away on a show in LA, I’d end up booked for something on the opposite coast of England… but better late than never! Especially because nobody remembers that I knew of Greg before Class. He was a gamer, and he’d worked with Leon Ockenden, and so in late 2014, he sat down Leon with a copy of Heavy Rain… and so there was “Leon’s acting mate”. Year and a half later, he’s announced along with the rest of the cast of Class. And then he had a lovely podcast. And there was LA. And all sorts else. I’ve been along on the wild ride… so, as you can imagine it was an incredibly emotional day for us both to finally be there together chatting about days gone by. A wonderful and talented chap! And he was *the* Rhodian Prince.

And then, lovely Jordan, also a delight to finally meet after a decade of trying. We had chats about the Scottish coast, and Hallmark movies, and accents. Loveable giant, he is indeed.

Always a pleasure to see Sophie too (we did goofy pictures as well, and she had Jordan doing all sorts for the angles) - she’s been a wonderful help for getting to grips with performing at the Fringe and learning my lines!

Also always great to catch up with the warm and lovely Richard Price, haven’t seen him for a while… a man of so many parts, but apt to the above: one of the Shadowkin!

And there was also Brian Herring (man of the Meep!), and Jo Martin (we chatted about something that’s coming after Circuit Breaker…)

Then there’s Ryan R. and Angus (fabulous artists that they are!), Connor and his amazing TARDIS console (with all its Easter eggs including Omega; among other prop goodies!), Ryan G., Brigitte, a Dalek from theatrical history, a boat from TV history, monsters and cosplays all over, and some goodies (but can’t say what; might spoil plans that are afoot from me…)

All in all, a wonderfully worth it day, even if it meant getting up in -2 degrees at 6am, only to be baked alive by lunchtime, and then home at 9pm under rain!

Epic!

We asked the very talented @ryan_rigby_ to put one of our favourite pictures of Alayah and Lando into a painting and I think the final product speaks for itself 💚

The details he has incorporated are incredible. Alayah’s splints are a major part of her and they come as a package deal along with her walker, these details may seem minor for everyone else but making sure they were perfect means everything to us!

Thank you so much @ryan_rigby_ we absolutely love it.

“I wrote this song with my friend @bloodpop for Top Gun Maverick. It’s deeply for me, and I think that we all need each other. I need a lot of love to walk through this life and we all need a hero, sometimes there’s heroes all around us and in unassuming places, but you might find that you could be your own hero, even if you feel broken inside” @ladygaga @ryan_rigby_
