Ladies and gentlemen, Ryan O’Kane!

Ryan, while still in his second year of training at Toi Whakaari, landed his first major screen role as Brad in The Insider’s Guide to Love and went onto win Best Actor in a Drama Series at the Qantas Television Awards for his performance.

Not bad alright.

He’s a fantastic performer and his long list of credits are no accident. Drama, comedy, screen or stage - he is at home across the lot.

We are absolutely stoked to have someone of Ryan’s experience, ability and kindness join the Frank team. He’s a bloody lovely human.

#shaunofthedead vibes…. What could possibly go wrong with a little kombucha? 🫙🧟

When Maddie and Leo turn to home-brewed kombucha to get back on their feet, their new business takes off, with some unexpected side effects.

ZOMBUCHA! @zombuchamovie is a wildly offbeat horror comedy blending relationships, financial chaos and a very questionable SCOBY.

After its superb UK premiere at @raindancefilmfestival 2026 it hits Australian cinemas on 19 November, by @maslowentertainment (and some special screenings starting November 6th) - and hopefully in 🇬🇧 theatres soon!

Follow the films page to stay up to date!

Directed by @thedarclaud
Starring @emmalouiseleonard (and written by) and @ryanjokane
Produced by @daniellejoy
International Sales by @crossborderproduction

marry the one who makes you laugh, and still loves you when they get past the outward veneer and discover how weird and wonderful you actually are, even when you say and do very silly things sometimes and they still think you’re great

i met you on a film when you had just turned 30, telling me about your birthday party where you’d spent the night running around a park playing some game involving torches and hiding in the dark (what was the name? grandmas keys?), and how you’d spent the start of that year in india filming a cricket movie.

i remember thinking i hadn’t met anyone like you. charming, with the best smile and sense of humour, also the most intelligent person i know (especially in the random + historical facts department)

and now 🏹

apparently 44 is a master number, ‘the master builder’, representing strength, stability, building something lasting and turning dreams into something real, quite fitting really

and keeping with the tradition of the last few years, you’re spending your birthday in another country, doing one of the things you are best at and where you really shine, being an actor

my gentle, kind and cautious libra man, my introverted extrovert, the fun dad, owner of an iconic (and extensive) cap and vintage tee collection, lover of painting tiny men, anything star trek, a cup of tea and an irish goodbye, the calm to my aries fire ⚖️

of course, in true me fashion, when we first met i immediately ran to my 70s love signs book to see what it had to say about a libra man and an aries woman. opposite signs of the zodiac, aries is fire, libra is air, one instinctive and impulsive, the other thoughtful and measured, two opposites who balance each other out. and you’ve definitely taught me patience is a virtue

gosh how lucky are we. i love every version of you, wholeheartedly.

happy birthday to the loml x

The last month has been a little quiet on the podcast listens… so we brought in the big guns and hired two new hosts to boost engagement. 🎙️😂

They’re new to the job, so be nice.

What do we think… should Hannah and I be worried? 👀

P.S. Episode 11 is out today! We take a deep dive into fragrance, synthetic vs natural, where the concern comes from, and what the research actually says. 💛
