Best of luck this season, Ricky! Proud of you! 🫡

In the spring, Ricky approached us with the goal of improving his speed, power, and overall movement quality & efficiency.

His training was broken into the following phases:
- Aerobic (2 weeks)
- Yielding Isometric (2 weeks)
- Eccentric (2 weeks)
- Overcoming Isometric (2 weeks)
- Power (4 weeks)
- Speed (1.5 weeks)

Huge shoutout to Ricky for adapting extremely well to his training from get-go. Ricky was introduced to a wide array of new exercises, training principles, and an entirely different style of training (performance cycling) than he was typically accustomed to. Props to him for learning and adjusting so quickly with great attention to detail.

On the other front, we worked together to dial in his nutrition, sleep, and recovery habits. As a result Ricky saw improvement in his body composition even though that was not something we were directly seeking to improve.

Proud of you Ricky! Good luck this season! Cannot wait to see all of your hard work pay off!

Keep your eyes out for this guy 👀

@jumping_jamez is one of the most genuine, humble, hardworking guys out there. Every organization he is a part of is better off because of it. Great work today!

Lighter session today. Kicked it off with GOAT drill to prime the mind & body. Moved into horizontal jumps & a bit of acceleration work. Nothing crazy during this week - rest and preparation for the draft. Keeping movement quality high, volume & intensity low, but focus always stays LOCKED! 🔐

Best of luck this weekend to you, James! 🤝

If I could go back to being a high school & collegiate athlete again, I would 10000% ensure that I’m checking all of these boxes.

“You train with zero intention”

Train according to YOUR goals. Train progressively. Set realistic, but challenging, goals for your training on a macro and micro scale. Hit them. Always improve on a weekly and/or monthly basis.

“You never stick to one thing long enough to see notable progress”

Pick ONE thing that makes sense for your goals. Commit to it for 90 days. See what your progress looks like. If no, or little, results, check if it’s a you issue (it probably is). If it’s a program issue, change it and commit to it. Stop with the shiny object syndrome.

“You eat whatever you want”

Your nutrition is second to training in rank of importance. Stop eating empty calorie garbage every day - your body needs nutrients and the building blocks to grow and maximize your own genetics. Can you pick it, grow it, or kill it? If not, then you probably shouldn’t be eating it.. the 80/20 rule is a must here. Save the garbage for after your games and weekend nights with family and friends.

“You have no spiritual practices”

This isn’t about religion. I don’t care WHAT you practice. You do need to engage in something though. Everything is spiritual. We are spiritual beings, you can’t deny that. Pray, meditate, read, and anything else that comes to mind that is of benefit to you. Engage with your higher self and the God that created you and is also within you.

“You have no structured daily routine”

The easiest way to blow your high school and college years away is to drift through them. Be intentional. Go to work Monday - Friday. Wake up and go to bed at the same time. Have the same morning and night routines. Do the things that are of utmost importance in the morning. Set the tone for the day. Finish the night off by relaxing and preparing for the following day.

Do these and I promise you this will allow you to be the best athlete that YOU can be.
