Fun at the Farm today. Missed my Ry-guy who was sick at home, but he got up from the couch to get our annual pumpkin picture for me 🎃😊

🔥 VARSITY LAB SPOTLIGHT: RYAN MELNICZAK 🔥

Ryan Melniczak | Malvern Prep | Class of 2028 | Point Guard

You won’t find many point guards in the Philly area with more craft, feel and skill than Ryan Melniczak.

Ryan is a true point guard who can completely control the game. He can go get 30 points when his team needs it, or dominate a game without looking for his own shot at all.

He gets to the paint at will, creates easy opportunities for his teammates and punishes defenses from beyond the arc in just about every way possible — off the catch, off the dribble or flying off screens.

What makes Ryan even more impressive is the confidence he plays with while remaining a humble, team-first kid who understands how to make everyone around him better.

And if you’re guarding him…

Strap those ankle braces up tight. You’re in for a long night.

📈 Keep working. Keep separating.

2028 | Ryan Melniczak | 6’0” Guard | Team Iverson | Malvern Prep

Ryan Melniczak is the type of guard every college coach wants running a team. He plays with outstanding pace, changes speeds effortlessly, and consistently puts defenders in difficult one-on-one situations with his quickness and shiftiness.

A knockdown shooter connecting on 41% from three with legitimate NBA range, Ryan forces defenses to extend well beyond the arc. His feel for the game separates him even further—he processes the floor at a high level, sees plays developing before they happen, and makes winning decisions with the basketball. His 3.14 assist-to-turnover ratio reflects his efficiency, poise, and ability to create for others while taking care of the ball.

What truly defines Ryan, however, is his competitiveness. He plays with a relentless motor, refuses to back down, and hates to lose. During Team Iverson’s run to the Made Hoops Championship Game, Ryan played through a broken finger over the final games, refusing to come off the floor while helping lead his team.

6’0 PG | Ryan Melniczak | Team Iverson 16U

Ryan Melniczak is a lead guard who impacts the game at all three levels. This film showcases his ability to knock down threes off screens, create separation off the dribble, and finish through traffic at the rim. He consistently gets paint touches to break down the defense and has the vision and poise to make the right play when help arrives.

Reminiscing on my coaching journey…

The last 4 years have been exactly that, a journey. Three different places, three different environments, and countless moments that forced me to adjust, grow, and step up immediately.

Finding comfort while being expected to make an impact right away isn’t easy. But I’m built for it. Every challenge, every change, every new opportunity: it’s all part of my story.

There’s not one way to reach the top. No perfect blueprint. Here’s mine!

Happy 1️⃣7️⃣ Birthday to my Ry Guy! How are you 17 already?! This past year there’s been a lot of changes for you, and even though it wasn’t always easy, you stepped into each day with confidence. On and off the court, I will always be your biggest fan, always in your corner and always here for you every step of the way! I thank God for you and am so incredibly blessed to be your mom! Excited to see what this year will bring for you. Love you so much Ry! 🥳❤️
