i marched three years of drum corps and all i got were these lousy tan lines, intense personal growth, and friendships that will last a lifetime

to the spit: for every hellish moment tour presented us with, there were about a million different moments full of smiling so hard our cheeks hurt, intricate and bizarre inside jokes, and dizzying realization that at end of the day, we had each other. incredibly proud to end my marching career in this pit

A summer sunset by the sea. 🐚

That feeling was the foundation of Maddy + Ryan’s wedding from the very beginning. Soft blues, warm peaches, natural textures and little nods to coastal Newport woven throughout.

We started with their invitation suite, using a custom illustration of Belle Mer Island House, a watercolor sunset envelope liner, and scalloped + shell-shaped pieces to set the tone for what guests would experience in July.

And then we carried that same visual story into the wedding day.

Their seating chart, ceremony fans, and menus all featured the same watercolor sunset artwork from their envelope liners. Their ceremony seating markers used the same shell as their reply card in the invitation suite.

The palette was meant to feel like a summer sunset and somehow the actual day delivered exactly that. 💙

Two years ago, Maddy + Ryan booked their venue and reached out about bringing their wedding vision to life. One of the very first couples to reserve a spot on our 2026 calendar.

From the beginning, we built their design around the colors of a Newport sunset. Soft blues, warm peaches, and all the little details that tied everything together. Last night, after two years of planning, we got to watch the sun set over the water exactly the way we’d envisioned all along.

Some weddings begin with a color palette, but this one started with a sunset.

When we designed Maddy and Ryan’s invitation suite, we introduced soft washes of blue and peach inspired by the Newport sky. From there, every detail followed that same thread to the day-of stationery, signage, and little nods to their sweet pup, Indy.

High school sweethearts, music teachers, and two of the kindest people you could hope to work with. They trusted us every step of the way, and getting to bring their vision to life alongside their wonderful families was such a joy.

Also… can we all agree this color palette deserves more attention? The mix of coastal blues with warm peachy sunset tones felt fresh, romantic, and like summer in Newport.

Congratulations to Maddy & Ryan. Thank you for letting us be a small part of your forever. 🤍🌅

A whirlwind week! It started in North Conway, NH with most of the wedding party! After a fun and relaxing getaway we finished with an amazing wedding shower.

Thank you to everyone who came to show us love and support at our wedding shower! We are blessed to be surrounded by so many amazing friends and family. 74 days until I do!!
