The first two days in Brisbane I saw a man walking around with a boomerang and heard an authentic Crikey come out of someone’s mouth. Australia is everything I wanted and more. Brisbane 9/19-9/30

A BTS look at auditions for 🌀UNDONE 🌀An AMDA LA Spring 2026 Dance Production!! A room full of dancers showing up, taking risks, trusting the process, and bringing their own energy into the beginning of what would become UNDONE 💫

So much love to every dancer who auditioned, whether you joined the cast or not. Thank you for showing up and sharing your artistry with us. And to the incredible dancers who ultimately became part of this production…watching you take these ideas and make them your own was everything ✨

And of course, so much love to the entire creative team, crew, choreographers, and everyone behind the scenes who helped bring this world to life!! A production is never just what happens on stage. It’s every person, every idea, every rehearsal, every risk, and every moment in between 💛

So many great memories working with @diavolo_la this summer! This intensive was definitely one of the most unique experiences that I have ever had and I am forever grateful for this opportunity. It was so incredible to work alongside so many talented dancers, athletes, artists, and movers!

A huge thank you to @coelsky and the whole @diavolo.institute team for making this workshop happen and for challenging me throughout the entire intensive. And thank you to @jacques_heim_dvlo for pushing me to be my best and helping me to discover new and unexpected things.

MovementFestLA x DCW X LA POPS UP: Dance on Film Screening

LA POPS UP Spotlight: “SPAGHETTI”, Dir. Charissa Kroeger, screening as part of Movement Fest LA.

“SPAGHETTI”: a “Where’s Waldo” of characters engage in a choreographed ballet of routine socialization.

MovementFest LA is a new dance festival founded by Mike Tyus, Jessie Lee Thorne, and Majella Bess, presented and produced in partnership with LADP Presents, the programming arm of L.A Dance Project.

The festival is rooted in the full life cycle of dance—creation, process, performance, and exchange. Filmmaking stands as a vital extension of this cycle, expanding how movement is captured, shared, and experienced.

This special evening of film screenings, presented in collaboration with Dance Camera West and LA POPS UP, celebrates the legacy and evolution of dance on film in Los Angeles. From its historical foundations to the bold voices shaping Los Angeles today, the program highlights dance on film as both archive and innovation. The program pairs DCW legacy films alongside new films created by LA based choreographers and directors working today. This creates a dialogue between generations of artists and honors both the history and the future of dance on camera in LA.

Wednesday, July 29 | 8pm | LADP Studios | 2245 E Washington Blvd, Los Angeles, CA
