Travel is not about the places you go to or the sights you see, it’s always been about the people you meet along the way. This is easily my hardest post I’m going to have to make from this trip. How do I compile all the friends, memories and moments into 20 slides. To start with, I’m an acquired taste in the states, I know that. I’m neurotic, don’t breathe between sentences when I speak, just the absolute epitome of ADHD when you don’t medicate it. It’s taken me a long time to accept me for who I am and actually love myself. I’ve been solo traveling since I was 24. Prior to that I was lost, hanging on to a past life that didn’t exist anymore and I didn’t know who I was. Because of that I was insecure, unconfident and an introvert around new people. Travel has changed that for me. The people on this trip, you seriously have no idea what you all mean to me. I fell in love with all of you to the point I made decisions to stay in Lisbon for a whole week til we all went our separate ways, I flew to another country to meet those I met in previous cities. I can say I have actual family now across the world that accept me for who I truly am. To everyone I have met along the way, you are the most beautiful souls and I love you with all my heart. Keep being curious and I look forward to seeing what you all do and where you go next. Hoping our paths cross again in future travels.
