Man are we lucky! For years we have been raving hockey fans, and now we have a team to CALL OUR OWN! Last nights game was electric! Down 0-2 in the third period, it was looking like an “L” was going to be on the card…but in the span of 16 minutes we tied the game and pushed it to OT…With Sergachev putting away the winner! #SLC is not a small market city….not for pro sports and not for business! If you haven’t had a chance to see a game this year, pony up the money for a game…on the glass or in the upper bowl…either way, you’ll see and feel how great this game is!
#slc #utahhockeyclub #notasmallmarket thank you Ryan Smith for bringing this team to us! #utah #utahbusiness #gearmode #kw #realtor #801 #saltlakecity #homesforsale

#motivationalmonday Tonight as we finish the last few things before we go to bed this quote swirls through my mind. Exactly one year ago today we were attending @projectshow with goals of finding tie manufacturers. So much has changed in the last 365 days. In less than 9 hours @modernties will be offering our ties to buyers from all over the world as exhibitors in #thefoundry So stoked!

I’m incredibly thankful to work with my brother Dan! It’s been a long journey to get to this point. It’s nice at times to sit back and think of all that’s gone into ModernTie.
I think back to our first attempt at making the tie portion out of silk. We jumped on a plane and flew to L.A. thinking we could just go downtown and the stars would align. Wow was that off lol. We searched and searched for quality materials and ended up in some strange corners of California we never knew existed. In the end we tried fitting a square peg in a round hole. We still have three rolls of curtain fabric sitting in a warehouse collecting dust to prove it😂
Next I think of all the people we have met with and become friends with along the way. From engineers to industrial designers to every other kind of product design, engineering, and manufacturing factory we could find. In the end it comes down to prayer, a persistent never quit mentality, and hard work. I’m so thankful for @danielesmith_17 @shualaw @jasonlovesgaga @tj_mortensen @chelseagirly25 and many many more amazing people. Between us all @modernties will continue to develop new products that we strongly believe in. Thanks for supporting our dream! #thankfulthursday •

Today’s #motivationalmonday quote has been a vital part in our happiness. All of us have had a moment in our lives that we’ve had to make a difficult choice. For my brother Daniel and I It was the decision to fight with everything we had to get through addiction. Even today having over 10 years clean we have to keep our guard up and choose to stay away from dangerous situations. It’s also vital to take it one day at a time. The holidays used to always be the hardest. We’re grateful this year we get to spend it being free from the chains that so tightly gripped us in our early 20’s. Please take a few minutes to text the people you care most about and tell them how much you love and appreciate them. Take the difficult road and enjoy a beautiful view of life!
