Got a shaggy mullet (#shullet ) at @ritual.barbers! @ryanwillcutyou was so fun, and the shop was 🤘🏽metal🤘🏽 and rock and medieval and silly and laid back - the most chill I’ve ever felt in a hair cutting place!

Had the same hairstyle for 2 years, trying to be neutral and stylish and versatile for potential acting roles. I finally learned how to take care of my hair, and now she’s the healthiest she’s ever been! It’s time for change! I’m bursting out my 38th cocoon!

In 2013 I opened Flash City barber shop and tattoo parlour. The original concept was a walk-in shop inspired by the tattoo artists operating out back of barber shops in the port cities of the early 20th century. Walk in parlours and flash tattoos were an idea that was starting to fade, replaced by custom tattoos and high end hair dressers and I figured Flash City would make a nice companion to Two Hands so I put it right next door. Almost like the antithesis to what I had built with Two Hands, a twin sister with a different personality. Originally it was suppose to be a 2 year pop up, 13 years later I’m finally closing the doors for the last time. Come celebrate with us this weekend at our two day flash party featuring the artists of Flash City and Two Hands past and present. Tattooing on both sides of the shop (flash city and two hands)

This year has been an infinite loop of letting go, shedding and expanding 🦋 thankyou to all my beautiful clients, coworkers @sacrament.nz & friends far & wide 🥰 I look back on the year with gratitude and appreciation for all the opportunities I’ve had to learn, create and connect 🌹 it’s been a fucking hard one!
